Dream location and cabins, the pictures are exactly like the reality, and even more beautiful. The price is quite high and the activities offered were all super interesting but very pricey. The food the staff and everything else was just perfect!

I loved the food, it was so delicious and healthy! I also loved the dorm, my bed was the most comfortable bed during traveling in colombia and i could watch the sun rise from there. It almost felt like a home to me during my 4 nights stay. The family who owns, runs and built this place is also around, the staff is very friendly and helpful as well (they spoke english). you can just spend the whole day in a hammock watching dozens of birds in the trees right in front of you. Everything was really close with nature for example a dry toilet but in the same time very clean. A very special place i fell in love with. Thank you so much! Very cute dogs as well!

[Birder review] We were lucky that the "colibrí" room had in front of it a tree full of ripe berries, so over 2 mornings, we were able to observe from the balcony at 6am while wearing pajamas, at a 4 to 8 meters distance: Keel-billed Toucan, Black-chested Jay, Swallow Tanager, Crimson-backed Tanager, Summer Tanager, Scarlet Tanager, Crested Oropendola, Crimson-crested Woodpecker, Black-crowned Tityra, Masked Tityra, Red-crowned Woodpecker, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Prothonotary Warbler, Thick-billed Euphonia, Dusky capped flycatcher, Baltimore Oriole, Orange-crowned Oriole, Chestnut-capped Warbler, Squirrel Cuckoo, Streaked Saltator, Red-legged Honeycreeper, Tropical Parula, Tennessee Warbler, and Scaled Pigeon. Overall I'd say this is the right place for a birder to stay at Minca. The rooms are surrounded by native forest, lots of birds, and still the place is close enough to town to still be convenient. For the hard endemics, seek day tours to "El Campano/Los Pinos" and "Cerro Kennedy".

Hotel Hukumeizi is a very special and magical place!!! In the nowhere ... very calm and quiet. Lovely people on site. We stayed longer than planned as we felt so comfortable and on ease and did not want to leave. Highly highly recommended. The road to get there was stressful but it was worth it.

This place is magical. One of those places where you stay and feel like you're in a movie or a fairy tale. The views, the coffee, and the rescued animals saved from illegal trafficking make it truly special. The staff takes great care of the place, keeping it beautiful for both people and animals. The breakfast is varied, and the meals are also delicious. Freddy and Diana were very kind during our stay. Finally; it's also really close from one the main attractions in Minca, the Marinka Waterfalls, very convenient! Definitely stay here if you come to Minca! 🇨🇴✨
