On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. He has extensive knowledge of the mountains and provides great advice on the best hiking routes based on the weather.

Location of hotel is only 4 mins away from Huangshan Scenic Area Bus Station. Staffs are super friendly and helpful and patiently explain Huangshan hiking routes. Room is spacious, airly and bright. Washing liquid and bucket are provided in the room for hand wash. Free breakfast comes with heap of variety of foods. Received a welcome packet of the famous Huangshan biscuit (香饼)

The hotel is very new with contemporary designed interiors and we found the room and dining room bright and spacious. Staff were very helpful. They responded readily to online messaging in English during the booking. Loved the morning buffet. Had complimentary local snacks and water bottles in our room at check-in. The hotel referred a private minivan driver to transport us the 40 minutes from the Huangshan North train station to the hotel. We needed wechat to communicate to arrange with the driver. Or else you will need to use mandarin to speak with the driver. Accomodated our late check-in as we arrived later by fast train from Hong Kong. James X. was patient in explaining the simple booking process for us to hike Huangshan and he even personally walked with us for 5 minutes to the closeby Huangshan mountain tour booking and bus centre where you are transported to the cable car stations. Very close. Definitely would book this hotel again.

The owners at Cloudy Warm Hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond with their level of service. We planned on visiting the Huangshan mountains and they had kindly offered to drive us up to the shuttle bus station, after a delicious homemade breakfast! The room was very spacious with comfortable beds and a very cosy duvet! The location of the hotel was just what we needed and even had a stroll through the local town for some evening meals. We would highly recommend Cloudy Warm hotel, and both Mr & Mrs Yan. This is a lovely hotel and couldn’t have asked for anymore!

Sean was extremely helpful! He sorted out a car with driver for the whole day for an affordable price to visit Hongcun and Xidi on our way to Hangzhou railway station. Moreover, we were late in Huangshan Mountain to take the last cable car, so I just phoned him and he told us a different and shorter way to go down. The breakfast was delicious, so I can only say that I definitely recommend to stay in that place!

The hosts were the kindest, most helpful hostel hosts I’ve ever had. They made us food when we came back late and made it vegetarian when my vegetarian friend could find no other. They even posted me my scarf I left there. I would definitely return.
