The staff were friendly and very helpful, right from the doorman and reception staff to the lady who cleaned and replenished our room (daily). Our corner room - with bath and large shower - was a magnificent size with a panoramic view, giant comfortable bed and even electronically switchable opaque glass between bedroom and bathroom. We spent 6 days working in the Li-wan Plaza wholesale building which is an easy 10 minutes walk away, as is the jade market area, while main shopping streets are on the doorstep. Could not be better located for us. The comprehensive Asian/Western breakfast with hundreds of choices gave us the ideal start to the day, while some free drink tokens helped us relax in the bar at night. This was the first time I have stayed at this hotel although my wife has been staying here for business for many years and reports that it was extensively refurbished after COVID.

We have stayed at several 5-star hotels in Guangzhou and this was by far the best. Special shout out to Irene and the entire staff on the 22nd floor club lounge. They all went above and beyond. Will definitely be staying at the Langham for all subsequent trips to GZ.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is new and looks amazing. Room was spacious and the park view was just lovely, we were on the 6th floor. Our room was very modern and clean, the bed was very comfortable. Loved the bathroom. Breakfast was perfect, had options for locals and also for us- porridge, eggs different ways, fruit, sandwich material, pastries etc. Staff was friendly. Loved the gym and pool(PS! Take a swimming cap with you, they won't let You swim without it and it costs 19€ to buy from the spa). Around the hotel also nice area- a big green park and local fruit sellers etc. Metro station was 5 minute walk(Bayun Park, Line 2). City center is 30 minutes away with metro.

I have really enjoyed my time in this mega city.

I have really enjoyed my time in this mega city. Much of my enjoyment was due to my walking extensively looking for traces of Old China. In my short time here I could only just scrape the surface.  Going behind the glitzy facades along the main roads,  I found a hidden urban landscape of labyrinthine lanes which could easily be passed by the casual visitor and those who use the metro or taxis.  The lovely parks and Six Bayan Tree Pagoda were the best. Canton Tower only for those who like concrete and glass

A food and shopping lover place.

A food and shopping lover place. For scenery, Baiyun mountain is great; if you purchase the cable car / tram tickets, walking is minimal up the mountain and there are even escalators near the summit.

Guangzhou is the destination for shopping and eating.

Guangzhou is the destination for shopping and eating. It's a bustling city with great food, a pristine subway and the Canton Tower, the fourth largest tower in the world. I will go back during one of the Canton Trade Fairs. Oh, there was a zoo across the street from the hotel. I just didn't go.

The new part of the city was so clean I was impressed and I loved all the flowers and trees by the roadside. I really liked the city at night time everything lit up it looked great. I noticed that there was very little noise from the traffic only to be informed that most vehicles are either electric or hybrids. The only negative was the Taxi drivers trying to charge too much but we learned how to deal with that after the first day there. Guangzhou gets the thumbs up from me.

Friendly, beautiful place; easy to move around. The transportation system works and works well. Everything is affordable, and people are willing to help. There are so many shops you will go crazy and get tired moving through them. The things are good quality, from tech to clothes. The apps are good, and they are your one-stop shop; 1 app has everything you need and more.

Guangzhou – A Wonderful City to Visit Guangzhou is a very nice, clean, safe, and bright city. You can find a wide variety of delicious food options, and the people are extremely respectful and welcoming. There are many sightseeing spots to explore. Prices are generally affordable, making it a great destination for travelers. Visiting the Canton Tower during both the day and night offers unique and beautiful views of the city. The night cruise is fantastic — it gives you a chance to see the skyline filled with high-rise buildings illuminated by stunning LED designs, something you won’t easily find elsewhere. There’s no cheating, no crime, and very little noise thanks to the widespread use of electric vehicles. Taxis are plentiful and fares are quite reasonable. If you're interested in witnessing impressive urban development, Guangzhou is definitely a city you must visit.

Superb location, shuttle bus for Canton Fair was a perfect bonus. Hotel is nice, clean and quiet, provides excellent breakfast with many choices for everybody. The staff was very helpful. We very much appreciated the wi-fi service. Rooms are spacious with nice city view.

Let's give a brief evaluation. The room is large and looks okay. With a three-seater sofa, it is quite comfortable to lie down at ordinary times. The hotel is located in the city centre, and it is quite convenient to play.
