Excellent hotel quite central and walkable to the sights! Very good breakfast, a lot to choose from. Also had dinner at the restaurant (buffet) and it was excellent too, a lot to choose from. Loved the room, spacy and clean. Good beds! Aircondition worked well and was not noisy. Friendly staff and there was always someone that spoke English well, so easy to get help when we needed. Will absolutely stay there again next time!

I basically liked everything. The girls at the reception are super kind and spoke very good English. The bed was hard, which I love and it’s so great after having travelled around the globe. The room is excellent for the price and everyone was very polite and attentive. I’m going back in two days to spend three nights there. And the shower was great.

FAQs about hotels in Beijing

From Chinese Dynasties to Cultural Dynamics

A world-renowned gem, sprawling Beijing has magnificent monuments and peaceful parks. At its heart is the world’s largest square - Tiananmen, surrounded by important museums and the amazing Forbidden City. This 15th-century, walled complex of palaces neighbours Jingshan Park and Beihai Park with its imperial garden.

Opposite Tiananmen Square is the ultra-modern National Centre for Perfoming Arts, a beacon of the city’s culture so impressively displayed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the Bird’s Nest Stadium.

To its east is the UNESCO World-Heritage listed Summer Palace, a lakeside retreat of emperors, while also UNESCO listed is the grand Temple of Heaven in Chongwen district, where remnants of Ming dynasty city walls are visible. Nearby are several hutongs, narrow alleys whose traditional architecture contrasts with wider, modern roads including Beijing Financial Street, the city's business area.

The most popular Beijing shopping street is Wangfujing, and other must-see sights include the giant pandas at Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall of China, an easy day trip from Beijing.

As you would expect from the capital of the world’s most populous country, there are a good number of 5-star hotels in Beijing on Booking.com, mainly in the Dongcheng and Chaoyang districts. There are also several hotels near Beijing Capital Airport in the north-east.

Stunning Architecture and World Heritage sites all well-...

Stunning Architecture and World Heritage sites all well-managed for visitors, such as shuttles, tickets, toilets and no-smoking policy. A major drawback that this city should improve is the smoking areas. People can smoke freely on the streets, which negatively affects those with respiratory problems and children. This makes our city walks less enjoyable. In addition, many locals tend to spit on the streets, which is another issue that should be addressed.

An amazing city - probably doesn't need more than a 5 day...

An amazing city - probably doesn't need more than a 5 day trip. A day-long excursion to the Great Wall of China is a must (hire a driver rather than spending 2 hours on a bus) and get there early to beat the queues for the chairlift up and toboggan down. Starting early is important most days as there are SO many tourists (mostly Chinese) at all the major sights. If you're there longer - consider going to a hot springs (onsen) and choose one that the locals use (we went to one in the Fengtai area) and taking a day trip to another city (we took the high speed train to Tianjin which was fun). The Temple of Heaven was better than the Summer Palace (IMHO) and Beijing Zoo was dismal - only go if you absolutely MUST see the pandas. Get a good VPN before you travel and stay connected to this to be able to use Instagram and WhatsApp. Set up AliPay with your payment details before you go - we didn't use cash once in a week and AliPay lets you book taxis, pay for the metro, pay in shops and pay individuals directly. It's essential. Consider getting WeChat too - people in China use this instead of Whatsapp. Carry your passport with you at all times - you'll need it everywhere - including spot checks in metro stations etc. Have a great trip!

This hotel is all about the staff and service. The staff just go above and beyind every day we were there. Leo helped us by securing our forbidden city tickets in advance of arriving in china, and staff also booked us onto an exceptional tour to the great wall during our stay. We were checked into our suite by 9am and checked out at 2pm - I don't understand this magic! I will come back to this hotel the next time I am in Beijing

The hotel facility is very efficient and earth friendly. Also the front desk staff are very helpful. Location wise, it's 20 min. away from international airport. It is also nearby many nice areas of Beijing. Even though the front street of the hotel is a bit messy, but I quickly find a way to turn around to the nice and clean street. I would stay in the same place if I ever go back to Beijing.

I booked this hotel because I was travelling to Japan and had a 12-hour layover in Beijing. Staff were lovely. Room was comfortable and good size. Staff arranged airport pickup and drop off (with a fee). Free coffee in the kitchen. Really happy with my stay that I’ve booked a room again for when I’m travelling back home to UK because I have another long layover. See you again soon.

Good location. The Beijing International Airport (PEK) is relative near, by taxi it takes 15 minutes only. Near the hotel there are two small shops and two restaurants. There is a lot of food to choose for breakfast. Staff is friendly that speaks English and help to call taxies.
