Vogorno is a small hamlet, high on a mountainside above lake...

Vogorno is a small hamlet, high on a mountainside above lake Vogorno. It is called a Hotel, but is really a guest house, a restaurant and take away pizza place. Pretty basic but clean, nice staff, good evening meals. UK visitors, take a Swiss style 3pin adapter for the recessed socket. The normal EU 2 pin adapter will not fit into the diamond shaped recess. My research suggests this is an older style and more modern hotels use the usual eu adapter. However, in nearby Locarno, hotels are 3 times the price of this one. To reach the hotel, there is a narrow road with several tight hairpin bends, which we found great fun, but may scare others. The people are superb.

Large room with unbeliveble view over the lake . Comfortable beds and very delicious breakfast included. However you have to pay attention if you bring your pets the price that you will pay if you have 2 dogs can exceed the price that you pay for the room. However is not the fault of the property for the 30 CHF / night/ dog is the fault of booking.com who are taking so much cimmisions from the hotel and do not show the real price for pets so it could be a surprise, an negative one

Very nice Hotel, the Bus Station is just in front of the hotel and this is great to check Verzasca (and for free!). Besides that Madame Yvonne is very kind, always with a big smile and helping us, giving us all ideas of Programs, were to go and so on. Under the Hotel there is a Restaurant with the funny and nice Italian guy Domenico & his crew, the atmosphere is nice and you think that you are in Italy, also with Italian Music going on. Thanks for all!

Great place! Very nice and friendly owner and staff, they can speak English 👍 There is parking belongs to hotel 👍 Very convenient location, specially if you want to spend few days to explore all around, 15 min drive to Verzasca Valley. The hotel itself is very cozy and clean. The room were really spacious, I like big windows(you can get really amazing view)There is also the restaurant on the ground floor.

We loved the amazing view, the room was spacious and spotless, breakfast was delicious, and we had dinner in the evening - it was superb! The location is great - the bus stop is right next to the hotel, and it's only a 10-minute drive by car from Locarno. The staff is very kind and friendly, and we were able to check in earlier (at 13:00) at no cost!
