Lovely Hotel with even lovelier staff and a great hardworking group of people who work the restaurant. Very close to the railway which takes you on a direct line to Appenzel or Wasserauen for your favorite hikes.. The Breakfast Buffet was great! Currently undergoing a renovation so the rooms will be even better in the future! Would definitely come back here again!

Loved this comfortable and quiet stay in Urnasch. It was perfectly cozy and a great starting/end point for my hikes in the Appenzell area (only 30 mins away by train). Jessica was also very chill and friendly, she gave me some extra rosti she'd made too. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stay here again.

An amazing host Lise - a very helpful, knowlegable and friendly person with who I had a very intersting conversation. I would honestly recomend this BnB to anyone. Such a lovely athmosphere built by Lise. I can’t wait to find some time and go back :) A wonderful breakfast served by Lise with a super cheap price. Amazing, tasty, fresh and healthy. The host was great! Super helpful and friendly and let us leave our bags there overnight while we went to schaffler hut. The breakfast spread was nice and the rooms were clean. Hot water was great. Best location right on front of the station.

Friendly staff that was very helpful. We had a last minute change of plans and the staff was very accommodating. The food in the restaurant is amazing. We speak English only and everyone was incredibly friendly. Located within walking distance to many great activities and shops. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Visiting Santis was the best part of visiting Urnäsch.

Visiting Santis was the best part of visiting Urnäsch. It is a must see. Have awesome views from the summit and also learnt quite a lot about weather and weather measurement. I really enjoyed traditional swiss dishes for my lunch at Santis Terrace Hotel and dinner at Restaurant Lowen in Urnäsch. Urnäsch can be comfortably reached by train from Zurich. There is public transport bus 791 from Urnäsch Bahnhof to Santis Cable Car Station. There are lots of hiking trails in the region. I recommend you to go on the Rondom Appenzoll hike. It is a short easy round trip hike around Appenzell which can be done in around 2.5 hours. In spring there are flowers everywhere and every part of the hike looks like a post card.
