Private room on the top floor, modern and clean, with a private bath and nice decor. Coffee machine and electric kettle provided in the room along with pods, teabags, and cream (always a plus when you're backpacking and cannot carry all you want). Blinds allowed for a great night sleep, so did the comfy bed and the air conditioner. There was even a TV which allowed us to catch an international track and field meet, and fall asleep on it. Breakfast was well organized; it did not include meat or eggs but had an assortment of bread, cheeses, and yogurts, along with orange juice. A nice yard with tables and chairs provided a green, intimate space to lounge, right inside of the walled city.

A perfect room for a family with small kids. The panoramic view is amazing. There is a hiking path to the lake of Murten just underneath the hotel. 20 minutes drive to Papiliorama, if you want to be there early. The best is to be at Papiliorama as soon as it opens in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

If you want to feel like a resident of the old city, then this place is exactly for you. The building is under state protection and much has been preserved here from old times. I really liked my stay, it was very unique. The owner and personal are super friendly! Welcome drink was a very nice surprise 😋

Situated in the middle of nature but very well accessible by car, boat or bike. A perfect getaway! Very friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, silent during the night. Bird life center right next to it. Dinner was excepionally good as well, would defenitely recommend it!

People (personal), location, and breakfast was really nice. Small room for 1 which was enough, just separated bathroom on the next door in the corridor. The corner room had no internet which was the main minus especially if you need to work.. By 15 min walk you can find a nice 100 year old cave to go inside the past. :)

Absolutely stunning!

Absolutely stunning! The terrace is gorgeous and full of greenery. They have a vegetable garden where they use as much as possible in their cooking, like lemons, herbs, and fruit. The rooms are super comfortable, and the staff is very efficient, professional, and, above all, incredibly friendly.

The grounds of Salavaux Castle are beautiful, with lovely...

The grounds of Salavaux Castle are beautiful, with lovely restored rooms. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There's no TV in the room, which means you can spend more time with your partner.

A magnificent castle. Beautifully appointed rooms. A restaurant where the food is absolutely delicious. Superb service. A very warm welcome. A magnificent terrace. Charming little lounges perfect for an aperitif. Lovely rooms; the suite is beautiful, spacious, and modern.

A lovely, uncomplicated castle hotel.

A lovely, uncomplicated castle hotel. Our room was in an annex. The room was well-equipped and had everything we needed. We slept very well. The only downside was the unstable internet connection.
