I travel a lot and lots of experience with 5-star hotels. This one is definitely in my top 3. Very large and modern with some vintage touches. Suites are huge and well equipped with tablet to operate everything. Nice sugar bar, wine bar, multiple kitchens, really nice spa. Staff is really good and sincerely polite and helpful.

Goethe famously said about Andermatt: “of all the regions I know, this is my favourite”. Hotel Bergidyll proves Goethe’s preference. Wonderfully located very close to ski lifts and the lovely village centre, it provides a cozy stay with very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. Lockbox right outside the front door. The directions provided easily got you to where you needed to go, the box was labled and was not hard to operate at all. We used the lockbox when we left the apartment to ski so we didn't all have to return as a group and no risk in losing the key.
