Goethe famously said about Andermatt: “of all the regions I know, this is my favourite”. Hotel Bergidyll proves Goethe’s preference. Wonderfully located very close to ski lifts and the lovely village centre, it provides a cozy stay with very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. I really enjoyed communicating with the host; the instructions were given on time and were clear, and she was flexible regarding the check-out time. I also liked the location of the apartment; it's very convenient if you want to visit Göscheneralpsee. However, we didn't venture to some of the other attractions because the journey would have taken too long. We also visited the area during Halloween and were very pleasantly surprised by the care shown towards children and the generosity of the locals.
