The location is excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions, and the facilities were great! Everything was tidy and clean throughout the property. My room offered a stunning view of the waterfalls. I also appreciated how informative the hotel was. Trust the title as the view is indeed breathtaking! The apartment is located right in front Straumbachfall, Lauterbrunnen’s most famous waterfall. There is literally nothing between the balcony and the waterfall! It is close to all the restaurants, supermarket and a lovely 10 minutes walk from the train station. The apartment is charming, very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen has all the necessary supplies and is very modern. The beds are all we need to relax after a busy day discovering the region. The communication with the owner was impeccable . We received all the necessary information for checking in, getting the key, and checking out. During our stay, he supported us on additional requests and was open to give us more information about the region and what to do around. We were also able to leave our luggage at the place before check in and after check out, and that allowed us to enjoy the region until the last minute of the trip.

The apartment is great and well equipped. The location is great with an amazing view. We had a great stay and we do recommend this accommodation! The owner was very kind and reactive by WhatsApp. We even had the possibility to leave our luggages to enjoy a last tour before getting our train.

Three days would have been right if the weather had cooperated. We had 3 days of rain and clouds. Did not go to the top of either mountain as it was totally fogged in on all 3 days. We did enjoy the rest of the area, doing what we could in the rain.

Beautiful village - ideal for photos.

Beautiful village - ideal for photos. Cable cars take you to the top of the mountains where Murren and Gimmelwald can be reached. Many beautiful hikes in and around the town. Hike to the Staubbach and other falls or do base jumping from the cliffs just outside town.

Great location with magical views.

Great location with magical views. Train in walking distance to go to Jungfraujoch. Tickets were easily purchased at the campsite front desk. They could advise how busy the train was as their system seemed connected. There was a shop at the campsite with all the main items and there was a bigger supermarket also in walking distance. Restaurants and bar in the town also in walking distance. Great kitchen facilties at the campsite. We would stay longer to see more of the area.

One of the most beautiful spots in all of Switzerland! You must go up the mountain to Murren on a Gondola and see the small towns at the top of the mountain and walk the beautiful path from Murren to Gimmelwald in 30 mins. The take the Incredible!

The hotel room (dungeon) in Hotel Oberland was definitely a big disappointment. We stayed in many hotels in France, Switzerland & Germany & this was the most expensive & the worst. Lauterbrunnen is gorgeous & we were lucky enough to see the flower decorated cows coming through the town after walking down from Wengen.

Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for.

Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for. We had sunny days and a couple of rainy days, both were breathtaking in their own right. Nice connection too to Murren, Wengen, and Interlaken. At night, when the day tours have left, you can have the village "all for yourself" and that experience was almost divine.

i love everything in this hostel, the best in Switzerland. My home sweet home for 2 nights. Everything's neat and clean like the kitchen, the beds and linens, the washrooms, sleeping is very comfortable, secured baggage storage. i love the shoes being removed placed on the shoe racks and used your sleepers going to the room its really clean. This is the center of Lauterbrunnen very near to the train and bus terminals, near the Staubbach Falls and souvenir shops

Location of the hotel is excellent. 10 mins walk from the Lauterbrunnen train station. The rooms are big and we had a huge balcony overlooking the Staubbach waterfall. Both the room and washroom were big. We loved the staff who were extremely helpful and they have a lovely ambience in the restaurant on the ground floor with the waterfall view. The breakfast was one of the best we had in switzerland.

Very good price for the room in Switzerland. Room has a great view to the valley and waterfall. Despite it has a shared bathroom (btw it was available all the time, no queues), washbasin is available in the room, enough free space in the room. Good wifi connection. Checkin was easy, it's in the pub (in the same building).

Simply Perfect.. Staff are great, the Room was great, the views were great! i honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. The price is high but its well worth it. i would stay here again and again should i ever find myself back in Switzerland which is highly likely!
