Where the hotel is located Charming balcony with a breathtaking view of the mountains, enchanting bird sounds and convenient bus stop (free transportation with hotel city card). wonderful breakfast and large room. a nearby site, to mention a couple Lake Oeschinen, tobogan run, train station 8 minutes by foot, bus 3 minutes A tip: Obtain the hotel's city card. b) Request the first floor since there is no elevator. The receptionist was kindly and powerfully capable of carrying one of our bags to our room on floor two (we kept the other one in the reception). Along with providing us with a shared electric converter, he also permitted us to prepare our food close to the reception area( Cooking not allowed in this eco-friendly hotel) , We need to enter the hotel from road thru gravel ( so those are with heavy luggage be prepared to lift by hand for a minute)

This Chalet-hotel is really on a high level. located literally in the middle of Kandersteg main road. in-front of a supermarket & 10mins walk to Oeschinensee gondola. Very nice & clean facilities. A very friendly & helpful guy in the reception, who gave me a discount voucher for the gandola, free bus ride & discount to Blausee. bottom line - AMAZING STAY. will come back.

Kandersteg was incredible, out of season so was super quiet for the perfect chilled couple of days. The hike to lake Oeschinensee was beautiful, the snow adding to the whole experience. Great transport links to the rest of Switzerland, has shops to provide what you’ll need while you’re there to cosy up in an apartment for a few days.

Kandersteg is a beautiful place for hiking and outdoor activities. I highly recommend to go to the Oeschenesee, it was one of our favorites on our trip. If you stay a little bit longer, maybe you also want to go to Saint-Leonard underground lake, what is easy to access with a car train that leaves from Kandersteg.

The apartment was spacious and had a terrific view from the balcony. Free parking was close by and checking in was a breeze. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and the refrigerator was good sized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 adult guests. We could stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Kandersteg is a really lovely valley and town - not as...

Kandersteg is a really lovely valley and town - not as touristy as other places but really beautiful and charming. I can recommend the tourist office (very nice people), Beckerei Marmotte for a real authentic village bakery and cafe/restaurant, and all the walks and cablecars - I can't wait to be back.

Easy travels whether on foot or from train and bus stops. Plenty of places to stop for coffee or buy a snack. Sunnbüel, Oeschinensee and Blausee are a must see. Use the SBB app and google maps and you won’t get lost. If you have a half day to spare, take the bus to Adelboden just for the scenery.

Such a cute little town to spend a couple of days in!

Such a cute little town to spend a couple of days in! I wish I had stayed more than a night, but at this time of year I'm not sure there would have been that much more to do if I were staying a week or something. There does seem to be skiing in the winter, though, so I'm sure other travelers have much more to do during the winter!

This is a kittle beauty of a hotel...amazing staff and the waitressing in the restaurant is just fabulous...make u feel like a page 3 person..the view of the mountain...the vicinity to the local mart and train station helps..all in all the best we felt being hosted in switzerland 🇨🇭

It was in a gorgeous location and very near to the cable car to the Oeschinensee. The bed was comfortable enough. We really enjoyed the breakfast, there was enough diversity: it had fruits, croissants, cheese and much more. The man from the hotel was also friendly.
