Ilanz is a lovely little town with numerous historic buildings. It is a wonderful place to stay if you want to have easy access to numerous ski areas, walking trails and pretty villages. The bus and train services are excellent and very well-co-ordinated. There is a good range of shops, and bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the room came with a massive balcony with a sweeping view. I only tried the restaurant for breakfast but the food I tasted was very good. Hotel staff were friendly during my interactions with them. The biggest win for this hotel though is the location. It’s opposite the train station and where all the PTT coaches depart from, making it perfect for doing multiple day trips into the mountains!

The breakfast buffet spread is pretty good. The service is great! The staff is always friendly and kind. The bathroom looked new and it was pretty clean. Also, the location is perfect, right by the station and there is a supermarket opposite the hotel which was helpful.

Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming staff, a number of nuns greeted you at meal times in a lovely way, all the facilities were spotless, located in a lovely location and the nearby town, Ilanz is very nice.
