WOW WOW WOW Fantastic host - Ferdinand - extremely welcoming, chatty and great sense of humour. Beautiful boutique hotel, complimentary water, amazing breakfast, including freshly boiled eggs. Decoration throughout the hotel was exquisite. Great staff - helpful, polite and friendly. We were on a 16 day trip, visiting France, Italy and Switzerland. This hotel was by far the most outstanding, due to the decor, facilities, breakfast and the staff, lead by the fantastic Ferdinand! We will be back for sure!

Don’t judge too harshly for the lack of air conditioning - in such historic buildings, getting permits is extremely difficult. Everything is arranged to the highest standard, and breakfast is excellent - served in a restaurant that once held a Michelin star. + There are so many lovely little touches, like complimentary drinks in the fridge. The town itself is charming and full of history. And you’ll be staying just 300 meters from the inner courtyard of Burgdorf Castle, where you can watch the sunset. Highly recommended!

Lovely, large, comfortable space right at the foot of Burgdorf castle. The apartment was exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfy. Check in and out very easy, and there was space to store our bikes in the cellar. Communication with Karin very easy. Good value for money. The outdoor seating area nicer than it looked on the photos, otherwise everything as pictured. Highly recommend

The town is small but has a great deal of charm, with cobbled streets and old buildings. The highlight being the castle. If you're there in summer - and like swimming - do not miss a dip in the outdoor pool, the Freibad. You get a great view of the castle.

A perfect place for a weekend getaway.

A perfect place for a weekend getaway. The old town is easily explored and full of charm. The castle is definitely worth a visit. I recommend Burgdorf to anyone looking for beautiful and interesting things away from the main tourist centers.

Charming little town.

Charming little town. The museum in the castle is fascinating. A great base for hiking in the Emmental region. Don't miss the lower town. The Saturday market is highly recommended.

Beautiful old town, good museums.

Beautiful old town, good museums. Ideal place for walking and cycling with good cycle routes! For food, we recommend: Spanish wine bar, Restaurant Orchidee. You can get around quickly on foot.

A very pretty little town along the Emme River.

A very pretty little town along the Emme River. A superb castle perched on a rocky spur offers magnificent views over the valley. In summer, the outdoor swimming pool is a delight that should definitely be enjoyed.

The welcome was very friendly, and the staff was very helpful with any questions or requests. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The location was excellent: just steps from the train station, close to a pharmacy, restaurants, and a supermarket.

Proper Swiss hotel with Swiss staff: meaning clean, efficient and pleasant. Spacious room, very good breakfast which started at 6.30am giving enough time for an early start. Underground parking with 2 places for EVs: secure enough to leave bicycles. Excellent restaurant with nice terrace. Very friendly staff, next to train station and within easy walking distance of old town. If I come back to Burgdorf I will definitely stay here again.

Central location about 5 minutes from the Burgdorf train station, easily reachable with public transport or car. Spacious and clean. The full kitchen is well stocked, including a coffee maker, electric kettle and dishwasher. Communication with the host was super easy and the response time was always very quick.

I stayed for a night, basically I'm a princess now. It has a museum which it should be called experience instead of museum and it tells the story of the Burgdorf from the beginning till now.
