Beautiful hotel - right in front of station. Staff were so lovely and good breakfast. Huge room and bathroom - old style but this was the best part - really charming. Man in reception was especially helpful and kind. And funny Perfect place to travel to Zermatt - went to fabulous fondu restaurant called Walluserstuba - just up road - authentic and delicious fondue

Brig was truly a hidden gem!

Brig was truly a hidden gem! We stayed at Hotel Victoria, directly across from the train station - which we loved. The main part of the city was really close and in walking distance. Great shops and resturants and gelato shops. They have a little train that goes around the city and gives you another perspective. It was perfect! There was a historic castle with tour. Unfortunately, the tour was in German, but we enjoyed it.

Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains.

Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains. There are lots of restaurant options and shops and a sweet old town. There is a very striking Palace to visit and some lovely nearby walks, including one to a gorge. They have a local pool and a set of thermal pools a short bus ride away.

A very pretty town, with lovely crisp fresh air. Fabulous selection of shops from fashion to food. Friendly and welcoming cafes and restaurants. Particularly like the pretty main square. Overall a feeling of safety and cleanliness.

Great wee town.

Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

Great hotel, so convenient for the train station. We stayed for 1 night then went off to Zermatt for a night and then returned to the Victoria for another 2 nights. The decor is dated but we really liked the quirkiness, especially loved the aqua coloured tiles and style of bathroom in room 303. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a little balcony with chairs and views of the mountains. Breakfast was great. The staff were really friendly. We'd Definitely stay there again

I like this hotel very much cause they have a facilities of coffee maker, water cooker, hair dryer, etc. in the room. Good breakfast in the morning. Nice personals and the owner of hotel is also kind & care. Location is very nice, just beside the castle (see my picture took from balcony) and in quite place also near the train station. I Wil be back there/advising my friends to stay in Schlosshotel if they're visiting Zwitserland.

Good Night Inn was a great little stay for our night in Brig. It was an easy walk (about 5-10 mins) from the train station. We arrived around 8 pm - check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. The hotel itself was clean and cosy. Our room was a decent size, bathroom on the small side but not a problem if just staying for a few nights. Included breakfast buffet had a good selection of food and drink. Easy check out.

Very close to the station, convenient for town restaurants etc. Very quiet, good breakfast. Room was good size and uncomplicated. The staff were very helpful suggesting a pub that did good food. We ate there three nights! Brig is a good town for bus and rail transport which made this hotel such a great choice for us.
