From initial walk in till I left everything about this hotel was 10/10 the staff were Luvly and polite and Anita was very helpful. Breakfast was more than enough and very tasty the room was clean and comfy.

We had a great time at Gasthaus zum Bauernhof where the old-time charm is mixed with modern functionality. Spacious and clean rooms, comfy decoration, easy parking, big terrace - anything that you might want to enjoy at the hotel. The restaurant deserves a special attention - it’s definitely worth going there. We went for the full menu and were absolutely not disappointed. The home-made bread was a great addition to our dinner, not to mention a good wine list. We would definitely come back!

We booked our stay at the hotel in early October. First off, the location is excellent—just a two-minute walk to the train station, with frequent trains to the city center taking about twenty minutes. By the way, Swiss public transportation runs much more punctually than Germany's. We parked in the underground garage. Since we initially couldn't figure out how to access it, the staff kindly escorted me there. At 18 Swiss francs per day, parking in Switzerland is reasonably priced and very secure. The staff may have forgotten to record our car's number plates, but upon discovering the issue during checkout, they proactively covered the cost and didn't charge us for parking. Their service was truly attentive. Additionally, our room was upgraded without request. It was clean, beautiful and fully equipped. Even with the windows closed during cold weather, train noise was barely audible. Furthermore, the restaurant service was excellent. Overall, we'll definitely book this hotel again when visiting Zurich next time.

The big attraction is the closeness to other attractions (I travelled around on the train, Affoltern has frequent services on the line between Zurich and Zug) visiting Zurich and Lucerne, the mountains and the lakes ...

The location is suitable as a starting point for trips to Zurich, the Zurichsee, Zugsee lakes, the mountain cable car at Kussnacht, or to Lucerne. Beautiful nature all around. If you have a residence card from the accommodation provider, some local services are available at an interesting discount (e.g. local transport, cable car).

Wonderful stay. So much to discover. We booked a private spa, enjoyed a fantastic dinner, and then took a stroll through the town. The next morning, after breakfast, we wandered through the nearby village market.

The apartment had all the facilities needed for a short stay (including microwave, kettle and fridge). Everything was virtually new, spotlessly clean and in full working order. The area was quiet. Affoltern, though only a small village, has all of shops, banks and places to eat. The apartment was 10 minutes walk from Affoltern railway station with usually 4 trains per hour to Zurich and 2 trains per hour to Zug (although due to work on the tracks the service to Zurich was suspended during my stay).

We chose this hotel on our way back for a one-night stay. It was very good value for money considering that this looked like a proper business hotel and not a budget hotel. Overall, a very standard business hotel next to a train station. I would imagine this is great for people working in Zurich or Zug and stay outside the city for a reasonable price.
