We had to be close to the ferry for an early morning...
We had to be close to the ferry for an early morning crossing. Downtown was mostly closed when we arrived close to 5:00 pm. We walked to a coffee shop, but it had little to offer and we left without making a purchase. The hotel has a restaurant but we didn't want a heavy meal, so didn't eat there, but the menu looked OK. There's a pretty park across from the hotel and a beautiful view of the waterfront from our window.

Love how it is practically in the ocean and has such lovely views everywhere....we had wonderful weather and enjoyed checking out Cape Forchu....and the quaint town.....it was a very peaceful and relaxing visit which is what we were looking for....

Yarmouth is a delightful community with lots to do in and...
Yarmouth is a delightful community with lots to do in and around the town. There are great restaurants, and shopping centers, and tourist attractions nearby, and within a driving distance of one hour or less going north or south out of Yarmouth.
We stayed 4 nights in Yarmouth this trip. One day for example, we traveled to Digby and Annapolis and returned via the Evangeline Trail. Another day we traveled to Acadia Village and the Museum. Another day to the Barrington Passage along the Light House Route and stopped at Daniels Beach. And we went to the Cape Forchu Light House.

We didn't stay too long in Yarmouth as we really wanted to meet friends in Mahone Bay. The hotel restaurant was terrific with great selections, overall food and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed the harbour area, the historical main street, and the lovely old homes. The restaurants and food were great. We also enjoyed driving around the area, searching out shops, lighthouses, shorelines and beaches. The people we met were very friendly.

We ventured out from Yarmouth to Lunenburg and Digby on separate days. Beautiful travels along the way lots of great pictures, wonderful people, great food, entertainment, shopping and of course the scenery is just amazing along the coast.
We will definitely go back.

The location on the lake was awesome, lovely view. We found the bed really comfortable. We stay at a lot of cheaper priced, budget motels and never have hugh hopes for a super comfortable bed. This was wonderful. We didn't find there to be enough pillows (one per person but very thin) so we asked for more. They gave us 2 more, no questions asked, which we appreciated

Truthfully ive travelled worldwide and this was the BEST low cost inn ive stayed in. Room was clean shower excellent except a little hike into a little high. Highly. Recommend this stop over. By the way it was the very very best breakfast choice offered

This was a very pleasant surprise. Normally, we are loyal Hilton Diamond members, but we recently felt the urge to look for alternatives. If this is a typical Comfort Inn, then we are more than convinced!
