Lakeview is a great place to stay in Wasaga Beach.

Lakeview is a great place to stay in Wasaga Beach. It's right on the beach -- at least a short walk around the construction happening there that will eventually construct a new visitors' walkway that would be great for visitors. There is no beach, anywhere, that compares to the sand that feels so soft walking on it. In summer months the water is actually warm, not cold as would probably be expected. In busy months you'll find the beach swamped by tourists. Staying at Lakeview offers a comfortable place to reside. Rooms have a fridge and microwave, air conditioner and is so close to enjoy the beach and, avoiding the $20 a day that beach visitors pay for parking. Parking is free at Lakeview.

A tiny piece of paradise just a few hours from home!

A tiny piece of paradise just a few hours from home! A must do activity is the Shaka Wasaga 7pm sunset cruise! Grab a bite at Beach 1 Smokehouse and for a more formal dinner, go to The Iron Skillet.....excellent cocktails and food inluding huge portions!

The main attraction is the Beach which is really impeccable.

The main attraction is the Beach which is really impeccable. So big that it is not crowded. The downside if that the main touristic area is in the process of being reconstructed so no more little shops and ambience by the beach. It will be like that for a couple of years. An area of the beach is dedicated to dogs. Parking is a bit expansive if you don't have lodging near by. There are not a whole lot of shops and restaurants but they are a few good ones for a week's stay.

Nice lake beach.

Nice lake beach. Cold water most of the time, but still very pleasant environment. Wasaga beach has good restaurants and a very good support infrastructure (Walmart centre, many stores and places to eat and to by needs).

Our stay was just overnight during the off season so many of...

Our stay was just overnight during the off season so many of the night clubs and shops along the bench and that suited us since there were no crowds. We both have had surgery on our hips so walking was kept short. Walking to the bench we passed some garbage others have left but overall the bench was clean. We enjoyed watching the amazing red sunset from the lounge area. We wish later that we had brought a bottle of wine to watch the sunset. There was no drink or food service on the lounge when we were there.

Stunning beach and water is shallow for a long way out from beach, and clear, great for children and non swimmers. Feels like your in the Caribbean, water changes colour all the time. Beach 1 is a party area, beach 2 - 6 are spectacular. Restaurant's are poor quality food and very expensive. I am sure there must be good ones but I never had a good meal anywhere, except Dee's pizza was fantastic but expensive. All in all Wasaga Beach is a great vacation spot close to Toronto.

Eva is a gem! she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is wonderful; a block from the beach; 25 min (give or take) from Blue Mountain; river access / boat launch across the street; nice walking trails nearby (Oxbow); pizza place next door; and of course puppy friendly.

The motel is just in front of the wasaga beach. Stayed in a deluxe double room ... it's a room with two good beds, but the bath room space was small but every thing was clean. It has a swimming pool and separate barbecue place to have fun. All in all, a decent hotel in a favorable location.
