The location was great, right on the boardwalk. Had dinner in the restaurant/bar and it was good. Breakfast wasn't included in our room which was fine as we were headed out somewhere else to eat. We appreciated our room being located near the elevator so it was quick and easy to take our pet outside to green space.

The location was perfect for on overnight stay before going on to the ferry to Newfoundland. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They made our stay with 2 dogs easy.
The food at the dining room on site was tasty and fresh.

The people are so friendly, always happy to talk with you and help where needed. All the bus drivers were so helpful. Restaurants we visited served good food, friendly staff. Spent our time at World Curling event, met wonderful locals and nice visitors "from away"

Sydney will never be what it was back in the 50 and 60s., with the
Steel Plant, fishing and the closing of the coal mines in the area but
if you have lived here in the past you can still enjoy the scenery.

Dominion beach was the best beach out of the few i went to it was very long to accommodate many people, it had plenty of sand for the little ones, it was quite cold but not much worse than many other bodies of water.
Fortress of louisburg was pretty interesting just be sure to pack your own snacks and drinks as their food and drinks are extremely overpriced, it is chilly to start (on a 21C day) but gets quite warm once walking around and if you can avoid bringing a stroller it will be much easier to get around.
Two rivers wildlife park was a good spot to check out the animals, good luck seeing the moose but worth the trip, the canteen is reasonably priced with a good variety of fried foods to choose from which were very delicious.
Many of the tourist spots are pretty far away so we did not get to tour many places such as fundy bay to see the tides or the cabot trail or lunenberg because it is a lot of driving and we drove to cape breton from southern ontario.
Make sure to keep your plastic bottles because you pay deposits at the grocery stores!
It is a little bit more of an expensive place to travel to but the ocean views, sunsets and the amazing friendliness of the locals makes it worth it all in the end.

Cape Breton is a lovely place but a huge price-gouging tourist trap. Lots of places haven't recovered from COVID so many places were either closed or short-staffed. The weather is getting crazy too.
Booking.com was the biggest pain in the ass. In a number of situations, they were confusing, unhelpful, and useless. Far better to call the motel directly and avoid this European-owned and operated app.

Excellent place to visit, so much to do.
Excellent place to visit, so much to do. We ended up staying at North Sidney at the "Hotel North" Excellent location, very clean rooms, right at the Newfoundland Ferry launch. Excellent restaurant and close to plenty of amenities.
Great location walking distance to the Sydney boardwalk. We loved the "drive up” feature where we could park right in front of the room door and load and unload our car straight into the room. The breakfast was fantastic and the coffee machine in the lobby came in handy (especially considering that it was accessible 24/7). The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
I was so amazed at the kitchen facilities, it was like home , only better. I met an amazing couple and we chatted for an hour, drank coffee and had our breakfast together, that never happens in other hotels. The fridge was well stocked and all I had to do was rinse my dishes and put them in the dishwasher .
Specially location is very good, near to downtown, high way and necessities. We enjoyed the Breakfast.
Customer service was A1. Hotel always very clean. Rates were very attractive.
On call room service was excellent. No car parking problem.
Please keep up same and best services in future.
The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking and friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was of course your standard "pandemic" brown bag, it was good and the coffee was good. i will stay again and definitely recommend to family and friends.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with my 7-month-old baby. Since I came from a vacation, I had a few luggages from the airport, and the staff kindly assisted in bringing them to my room. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast was enjoyable.
Loved the eclectic decor and the history of the hotel. Very grateful to Carmen for accomodating me on short notice after ferry crossing was cancelled. Room was perfect and great value for price. Very clean and interesting hotel.
This was easily the best hotel experience of my life. The building is clean and cozy, the location is excellent, and the owner is a delight. I would consider returning to Sydney purely to spend more time at the inn.
The room was very comfortable and clean. It had mini-kitchen, which we didn’t expect. Good breakfast including oat meal, which is my daughter’s morning meal and not every hotel can suggest.
The bed was comfortable enough and it was the closest hotel to the Sydney airport. I did like that they gave me two mallow pies at check in. Those hit the spot.
