Typical small Alberta city.
Typical small Alberta city. Lots of traffic although the drivers were fairly courteous with the usual over representation of diesel pickups. We spent quite a bit of time in Broadmoor Park which is a a really well cared for urban park with lots of facilities. Lots of small restaurants but hints of urban spawl occurring into the surrounding industrial areas. Less crowded than nearby Edmonton and little evidence of people living on the street. I'd probably stay here again over staying in Edmonton if I had the choice. I did not notice any transit while visiting so I don't know how available it is. Lots of single family housing and higher end apartment buildings.

I have lived previously in Sherwood Park. Great community.
I have lived previously in Sherwood Park. Great community. The county looks after its roads and sidewalks.
Feeling of safety. Lots of greenery.
Several relatively new shopping areas. Variety of foods offered. One caution is that some eateries close by 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm but there are the usual fast food places many of which have a drive thru open for 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Sherwood Park is part of Strathcona County and is located near Edmonton AB.
It has plenty of greenery in summer. Most retail outlets are relatively new so most buildings and parking lots are in excellent condition.
The county takes care of its sidewalks and is always repairing any new cracks.
Even in winter the county is very considerate. I remember that once I forgot to move my car after a heavy snow fall (my car was parked on a Snow Route which means I have to move the car within an hour or two of a heavy snowfall so the road can be plowed).
However, would you believe that an RCMP constable kindly called me as the tow truck was about to tow all cars that had not moved after the snowfall. He asked me if I could move my car and avoid a tow charge and a ticket. I gladly said yes. The RCMP constable saved me about $100. It is way things are done in Sherwood Park!

The hotel, itself was very good.
The hotel, itself was very good. I found it difficult to find. No signage on the entrance side, and it's across the street from the actual advertised address. Not much choice for eating. Boston Pizza next door. Cost-co is on the other side. Very much appreciated that it was pet friendly . Good breakfast. Beds comfy. Nice to have fridge, microwave and coffee pot in the room.

I had family in the area so it was a perfect fit for my stay. The Bonus was that I found it the Best place to stay. I wanted to take family out to dinner and the choices are many, but CHOPS attached was tops. There was a relevant amount of noise at night considering that teams frequently stay there, it just reminded me of good old times. I was there for 6 Nights and some are noisy with happy families..

The bed and pillows were perfect!!!
The bed and pillows were perfect!!! No problems with my usual aches and pains in other hotels. Slept great!!! Quiet in our third floor room. Hallways quiet. Nice bar/restaurant attached. Large Morning breakfast started at 6 am which was perfect to get to the golf courses on time. Easy access to gas stations, and shopping of all kinds. Pleasant, helpful staff. Very clean in all areas. Would definitely stay there again.
Everything about the hotel was to my liking, with the exception of being woken due to loud guests in the hall outside my room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is excellent for being close to Edmonton, and close to restaurants, fuel stations, and Costco. I hate the prices being charged by hotels for overnight stays, but relative to so many other properties, this location was reasonable.
Super clean, excellent staff, quiet room, relaxing, great breakfast, wonderful comfortable bed and super value. As a couple who have traveled a lot and a husband who have spent 240 nights in a hotel one year as Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C. - highest marks for the Holiday Inn Express in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
SPECIAL thanks to General Manager, Hany Tadros who set us up in a perfect room by setting us up with perfect accommodations as we traveled with our dog.
The staff called and communicated with me the day before to confirm my reservation. The staff was friendly and informative. They brought us extra towels and blankets when requested. The hotel itself and suit was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was excellent. All and all we had an amazing experience with the days in in Airdrie, AB.
I was disappointed there was no Denny's for breakfast.
Because every other Sandman I have saved at .
Always had a Denny's.
I was under the impression the person that started the Sandman group.
Always wanted a God start to the day.
They did over breakfast at the Chop attached to the hotel.
But not Tull 7.00am.
This is a wonderful hotel. We enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again. The front desk offered us an upgraded room when we asked if it was possible to check in early. We are seniors and we had come to watch our grand daughter play ball. We had hoped to check in early between games and they were very accommodating!
Very large room with a fireplace for aesthetics. But the highlight is the hot self-serve breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, breads, fruits, and juices. Post-COVID there are fewer hotels serving the hot self-serve breakfast to a point where it is now a pleasant surprise when you get one.
The hot breakfast was much appreciated given that a number of other hotels are getting by with a poor bagged offering. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The location is excellent with short drives to Costco and shopping complexes. Value for money at the time of booking was excellent.
Facility was clean, front desk was accommodating for an hr early check-in as I had a infant with me. Breakfast was amazing, hotel was quiet and relaxing. The bed was soooooooo amazing my husband and I turn the mattress upside down looking for the company that made it 🙂.
The room was very clean and quiet and spacious. Good closet and drawer spaces for clothes. The meal we had at the restaurant located in the hotel was very good with great service from the wait staff. Same kind of great service when we had breakfast there.
enjoyed the breakfast with different menu's, I did miss not having any bagels or banana's but the pancakes were enjoyable, enjoyed the stay in Sherwood Park as our relatives live there. Very easy to get around, and the traffic was light where we were.
Great location! Just off yellowhead. Nice view of pond. Clean hotel
Friendly staff. I was there for 3 nights on business. Lots of shops near the hotel. Very comfortable. Had everything I needed.
