I travel to Sault Saint Marie for work every 2 weeks.

I travel to Sault Saint Marie for work every 2 weeks. It's got everything one would need when staying there....plenty of decent hotels, eateries and shopping areas. Sault Saint Marie is a town you pass through heading west, or heading east from Manitoba, through Ontario, or to Sault, Michigan.

We were here for fall train trip and it was nice. Not needed again though. We went to a different place for every lunch and dinner. We had 2 serving staff that weren’t of a spicy attitude. The other 2 were nice and friendly. The food was fair but nothing that was amazing. I won’t go to the Sault again. Very pretty area though!

We went for fall foliage and were not disappointed- it was gorgeous! Hike Robertson Cliffs! We also did the Agawa Canyon Train and, hmm. We had hoped for a spectacular train ride, and it wasn't. The canyon itself is gorgeous, but you get 1 1/2 hours there which isn't much considering the train ride is 8 hours r/t. Most of the other passengers were elderly though so it seemed about right for the less mobile. We enjoyed the canal site and all the historical markers, but unfortunately went on Sunday and discovered the visitor center is closed on weekends. Huh? The seaplane museum was open and fascinating.

I went to see my friends and that alone was priceless.

I went to see my friends and that alone was priceless. I went on the Agawa train to the canyon and it was just amazing stunning. The boardwalk along the river was beautiful. Transport with Holiday Shuttle express was super. Staff at the hotel in the Quality Inn were caring, friendly, helpful. Everything was wonderful.

No police in Sault Ste Marie?

No police in Sault Ste Marie? People were drag racing up and down the Main Street in front of hotel all night. Hotel was dated and shabby but clean. For the price it wasn’t good value at all. I’ve paid similar rates at hotels that were well kept and updated. It was clean and staff were nice though.

We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior.

We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior. Absolutely beautiful. We drove up to see the pictographs but I was not able to complete the hike as it was pretty rugged. But my husband did and he got some fabulous photos. Luckily he did not go swimming due to the wet, narrow ledge.

The location of the motel is amazing & the staff are always so friendly. We stay here every time we pass through town, they went above and beyond to give us a room on the end so my 4 month old wouldn’t be surrounded by noise. Really showed me they care about their customers. I’m always nervous staying in a motel/hotel because you have to rely on someone else to clean for you. When I stay here I am confident the room is clean to a high standard and We feel right at home.

The hotel was in a great location as we were primarily in town to do the Agawa Canyon train tour which was about 10min away. It was also near to a variety of food options. The room was clean and looked like it had been recently redecorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room had lots of space to move around in. Breakfast was available at this location and had enough options for us.

Exceptional service and our King room was very nice with a relaxing view of the sunset in a quiet area. Great job by housekeeping staff who paid attention to details to provide a clean welcoming room. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary Covid bagged breakfast was nice to take with us for the road. We recommend this hotel and will stay here again for sure.

Incredible value for money ! We paid 75$ for a deluxe queen room with jacuzzi ! The beds were soooo soft and comfy, we slept like babies. Staff was very welcoming and kind. Very close to the beautiful waterfront and a practical bustling commercial street. Wifi is super fast. Huge convenient covered parking. Very quiet, it felt like we were the only ones in the hotel.

Friendly owners welcomed us and our small dog after a long driving day across Ontario on our move out to AB. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and tastefully designed - providing a restful, affordable, convenient, and Covid-safe stop. For any Schitt's creek fans, I described this to my friends as 'the Rosebud vision of future roadside motels'!

The room was clean and comfortable with parking right in front of the unit. The layout was like a little apartment including tables and shelves. The bathroom was renovated and included a detachable shower head. The hotel is right off the Trans-canada highway so it is also is in a very convenient location. ++

Location was ok and friendly staff . For a two star hotel it was fine. So just have that in mind . The gent that signed us in was very friendly and had said that if we didn't like the room we could come back and get refunded. But honestly had long drive and didn't want to continue searching for a room .

Building was dated, but super clean. We normally stay at the big name hotels when traveling, but this trio only stayed at the smaller “mom and pop” motels. Definitely great value! Highly recommend!
