What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.

Location close to the hill, water front views, outside deck facing water, the fact that they had a hot tub, a fire pit with free wood (even though we didn't get use it this time as there was too much snow) it's a nice free ad on and would definitely come back winter and summer. Would also come back for the free canoe and kayak in the summer.

Dawn was a lovely, incredibly attentive host who made you feel completely at home. The room was cheerful and the location fantastic, just a few minutes walking distance from restaurants, the local beach and the grocery store. Dawn made us a delicious breakfast that we have since replicated at home:). Can't wait to come back!

A great spot in a great location. Close to all restaurants and the town dock for a swim. The property was clean, private and inviting. Beds were comfortable and all amenities provided, even coffee! We booked for two nights the night before, and Vivian was very responsive and welcoming. A great stay!
