We often stay in Clearwater on our way to and from Edmonton. It is a beautiful location and there are numerous choices for staying. Most of the smaller, older motels are updated, cozy accommodations. Clearwater is a beautiful place to stay; we like to spend more time when we travel in summer.

Waterfalls were impressive.

Waterfalls were impressive. A hiking trail through old growth forest at Spahat Falls was a special treat. Good informative signage of the history of the area. New walk out deck, benches and fencing at Spahat Falls!

Too short. It was an overnight stay.

Too short. It was an overnight stay. Seems like a nice place. But the Ace Western Motel was not at all how it was posted on the site. Older photos on site. Our stay there was not pleasurable. Dirty bathroom and baseboards covered with dust. One of the queen beds if one person moved to get up the mattress flipped the other person out.

Wells Gray Park is spectacularly beautiful with lots of magnificent sites to see. We only saw a tiny bit of it, but could have stayed there a lot longer. The information centre outside the park is excellent and will guide you on what to see according to your time in the park and what you enjoy doing.

Clearwater is a welcoming community.

Clearwater is a welcoming community. We loved the Wells Grey park & the falls!. Local business employees are most friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the food & drinks at the grill at the Quality Inn. Staff were lovely!

I had an amazing stay at the cottage.

I had an amazing stay at the cottage. Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The complimentary boats and kayaks were a great addition, along with the playground and recreational facilities. There were plenty of barbecues available, and the hiking trails were absolutely beautiful. The restaurant offered great quality food, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

We had a great experience staying at Best Western Plus Gateway to the Falls. The service was excellent — staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with a nice variety of hot and cold options that were well-stocked and fresh. The room was clean, tidy, and quiet — perfect for a good night’s rest after a long day. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything neat. The location was also very convenient for exploring the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers!

This was our best "hotel" during our 3 -week Canada trip. The location is idyllic, calm, far from the crowds. The cabins are very nice and comfortable with beautiful decorations. The hosts are super kind and cater for all needs. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and they even made a fire, so my son could enjoy it. We also used tha canoe on the lake behind the property - my child really enjoyed it!

Excellent and quick communication from host. Easy to get into the accommodation - keyless entry. Good facilities for self catering and ideal for accommodating two people. Comfortable bed. Good shower and shower room facilities. Good WiFi. Quiet rural location. Excellently positioned for visiting countryside in the area, including waterfalls in Clearwater Valley.

The suite was very clean and modernly decorated. Good kitchen with everything we needed for preparing a couple of meals. The bed was very comfortable. The suite is in an older house located on a very quiet street in Clearwater. We'd stay again if we were booking a place in Clearwater.
