United KingdomIts located very centrally in Cheticamp, with onsite parking. The room is above the restaurant, which was fine as we couldn't hear any noise from below. The views out over the bay were really nice and everything is walking distance. The decor is a little dated inside (there's a CD player haha) but the bed was comfy and the shower/bath tub super large and comfortable! The kitchen is large, with lots of utensils and things if you are cooking. It was walking distance from all the main sites of Cheticamp and the restaurant underneath looked good (though we didnt get to dine there).

Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from...
Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from our porch. The rental had everything we needed to prepare a meal and shopping for food was enjoyable. We enjoyed a walk around the area taking pictures and a nice shop for gifts, ice cream and other goodies. Don't forget the pharmacy which surprisingly had nice gifts and everything needed for tolitetries.

We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant.
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant. There was entertainment Sunday evening at the restaurant. A woman played the fiddle and a man accompanied her on a keyboard. They were excellent. Seafood prices are very high. The place was very busy and the food was good.
Getting around Cheticamp is easy. We enjoyed driving along the entire Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. The Cape Breton Highlands Provincial Park was closed because of high fire danger.

We love Cheticamp.
We love Cheticamp. The Dory for entertainment or the Gabriel for an outdoor beverage. Lots to see . Beautiful location watching the fishing boats! The Auberge Suites are great. Stayed there twice. And would stay again!

This charming village is a perfect location to explore west...
This charming village is a perfect location to explore west side of the Cabot Trail, among many the Skyline trail. There are several good restaurants (a bit $$) and a lovely Cafe (Marguerite). Like all over in Nova Scotia, people are welcoming and friendly.

Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small.
Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small. Try to find live fiddling music, which we did at Doryman's Pub. The area is also known for rug hooking and there are two shops that specialize in those products. There are a couple of cute restaurants that offer good food, the Seagull being one.

A number of good restaurants. Local people very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous area including many sites outside of the nearby National Park. Local sites include Gypsum Lake, Cheticamp Island ( causeway access). Harbour Restaurant and Seafood Stop good - plain and simple good Pizza - Pizza Shack - liked veggie explosion. Mr Chicken great for ice cream - only tried the ice cream - small was bigger than we expected. Abundant attractions beyond town.

We stayed at Cheticamp tow days to explore the west side of Cabot Trail. The B&B is located on the main street of the village with an amazing view over the Saint-Lawrence Gulf. The room (#10) was spacious, clean and comfortable; the small fridge in the room was much appreciated. The are several choices for the breakfast. The check-in was quick and smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful, sharing info about the area & restaurants. It was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this property.

Michelle is one outstanding host, I cannot say any less. Caring, funny, she will make you feel at home. Do not pass by without staying here in Cheticamp. We were on our motorcycles and it rained during the night. The next morning Michelle had brought some towels on our motorcycles to wipe them down, now this is 5 star service.
Thanks again Michelle, hope to see you again some day!

We loved everything about this place. It was quiet, comfortable and felt like home. The check in process was incredibly quick and easy. The suite was central to everything you'd need so you never had to walk far. We fell in love with the community. It was beautiful. We will definitely return to La Digue Suites and to Cheticamp. Highly recommend 👌

The property is very old and it definitely requires complete overall of its basic amenities within the rooms and outside. Breakfast spread was good but that alone will not give good points for the hotel.
