The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the location is just at the heart of the rainforest, which was exactly what I was looking for. Good for relaxation, there is no internet or signal at the cottage, which allows for social media detox. However, broadband is available near the main building/restaurant if you can't live without internet. I was able to do a couple of web/video calls to my office early in the morning before going deep into the forest.

Excellent hotel, extremely comfortable, wonderful views of the Rio Negro and beach. Extremely helpful staff, especially Emanuelle, who was at the reception when I checked in twice, both prior to and after a rainforest tour; her enthusiasm, kindness and professionalism substantially added to me feeling right at home!
