FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are city’s two official languages so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up on Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze statue aptly named Manneken Pis or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussel's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your Brussels trip.

Brussels is an expensive city because of the location of the EU institutions. The city's problem is cleanliness and safety. Public spaces are dirty and full of garbage. In the evenings, one does not feel very safe on the streets.

Great location in the centre of Brussels

Great location in the centre of Brussels All of the restaurants we tried were excellent. The hotel restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced The Atomium and beer hall are well worth a visit.

Brussels is beautiful.

Brussels is beautiful. There is so much to see and do, and it's easy to get between locations as everything is really close together. If you are a fan of music, I highly recommend visiting the Museum of Musical Instruments: this gem was the highlight of my trip.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Hilton Hotel Brussels. From the moment we arrived, the experience fell far below the standard I’ve always associated with Hilton. There wasn’t even a bottle of water provided in the room, and although there were coffee capsules, there was no coffee machine to use them with. Things got worse when we discovered that the toilet was blocked. Maintenance did come to fix it, but the smell lingered in the entire room and made the stay very unpleasant. Even more concerning, the staff member used a new bathroom towel to wipe the dirt off the floor. That felt very unhygienic, and it made me uncomfortable thinking that this same towel could later be washed and given to another guest. I asked to change rooms, but I was told it would cost an additional €70, which I found absolutely unreasonable considering the circumstances. For the price we paid—£549 for just two nights—I expected a far better experience. I’ve always chosen Hilton wherever I travel, but this stay was truly disappointing. I hope the hotel takes steps to improve, as this experience fell far below the Hilton standard.

No time to explore beyond the local restaurants, which were nice (CARPE DIEM, LA TERASSE and POULET & POULETTE). The mostly residential area surrounding the hotel, underscored the neighborhood feel of the restaurants - each had their "regulars" so you felt part of their world vs. being a tourist or a business man/woman outsider. The AUTOWORLD event center was only 6 minutes by foot from from The Park Hotel and the attendees from all over Belgium, the EU (including Ireland), the UK and the US made for an excellent business trip to Brussels.

Brussels is full of history and character. There are many wonderful bars and restuarants. Public transport is easy to use and Uber is available at short notice everywhere. We used to live there, have family there and love returning for visits.

I best western quality adapted to the city center. I am used to more spacious and luxurious facilities in Best Western Hotels in general. In this case, as it is in the city centre, some compromises are necessary. Spacious rooms, clean, quiet (except from the heating system which you must turn off during the night otherwise the fan won't let you sleep). Most stuff were friendly, especially the gentleman at the breakfast in the morning (who is friendly and talkative).

The hotel is located in a quiet area, yet just 20 minutes' walk from both Brussels Midi train station and the city center. The staff is young and super friendly, always happy to help with any questions or doubts you might have.

My usual stay in Brussels. Looking new inside, nicely soundproof windows, helpful and friendly staff. Close to city center. Hotel emphasises lower environmental impact.
