I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Europe. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. The rooms were spotless clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Brussels. A special shoutout to Thierno and his brother, Catherine & Yasmine, for going over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. And to the hotel manager, thank you for the complimentary late checkout—that really made my day!

Beautiful hotel with great attention to detail (steamer, radio, milk and a nice selection of Hoxton branded coffee and tea were provided in the room as touches that we did not expect). The reception was very responsive to our additional requests (extra hangers, sewing kit) and even provided a cute bath bomb as we booked a room with a bathtub. The atmosphere in the lobby and restaurants is very inviting and lively in the most positive sense of the word.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My spouse and I had a wonderful weekend here. The hotel is very close to all the key attractions in Brussels, so you can walk around and see a lot. The hotel itself is on a quiet street, and there are nice cafes nearby where you can have a snack or breakfast if you don't want to eat at the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful garden in the courtyard. The room was excellent, and we especially liked the bathtub (it was very comfortable). The hotel staff are very polite and attentive. We had a great time at this hotel.

The host, Vincent, was incredibly friendly and attentive, and very keen to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The area is lovely, although it's along a main road it is also opposite a small lake which creates a nice setting. And the house itself is simply breath-taking - especially for an art nouveau fan!

FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are city’s two official languages so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up on Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze statue aptly named Manneken Pis or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussel's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your Brussels trip.

We spent 4 days in Brussels, with 2 day trips to Luxembourg and Bruges/Ghent, and it was time well spent. One full day is enough to explore Brussels’ main city attractions, including the historic canter, Grand Place, and local cafés. Brussels has a good nightlife, with lively bars and restaurants, especially around the city canter. It’s also a great base for short trips to nearby cities, making it ideal for a short European getaway. Overall, a pleasant city to visit with a good mix of culture, day trips, and nightlife.

Perhaps because it's a large European city, I couldn't feel a sense of belonging to the city or to Belgium here. Connecting with Belgian culture and getting an idea of the local customs was difficult due to the demographic mix. Although the Gothic architecture is ideal for cultural events, I didn't feel safe outside the tourist areas of the city. I think the close proximity of tourist areas and neighborhoods also contributed to this.

It’s just a big city, kind of gritty and a big melting pot of all types of people and languages. Didn’t feel especially Belgian. Way, way too many people to enjoy the Christmas markets, which felt more like a carnival than a Christmas market, with hip hop music playing throughout. The chocolate is indeed delicious. I would not say the same for the Belgian fries or the waffles- pretty basic at most of the places we ate at.

Brussels is for two days most, during Christmas period. Spend the rest of the days to visit Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp or any other place of your choice. Otherwise, it's full of rude people that see only the phone screens while walking... Magrite museum was good, Frites Atelier was better. Belgian beers are boring, but that's just me.

Brussels is a great, luxurious place, it has beautiful grand architecture all over the city with amazing cathedrals, palaces and just overall buildings, there are many things to do and see. I would say an ideal stay would be 2 maybe 3 days and then you could visit other cities in Belgium such as Ghent, Bruges or Antwerp. I loved the vibe of the city, i would say avoid the north area as it is more run down and “dangerous”. The food is incredible and there is much choice. Its a very walkable city and public transport is very easy to navigate around, some restaurants i would recommend include tope which has a rooftop area which you can eat on and see wonderful views of the city, the fries places and of course the waffles / Belgian chocolate, ideal for travelling as a couple, friends or even a solo trip.

There is a lot to do over a long weekend. Plenty to see. Excellent art gallery. Good restaurants. Good museums You need to book some things in advance like a tour of the Hotel du Ville, which is the extremely grand town hall. You can do a short train ride to Bruges. We enjoyed our stay at The Hoxton, Brussels. The hotel itself is stylish, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere. Staff members were consistently friendly, professional, and attentive, which made a great impression. The on-site restaurant offered tasty dishes, and the breakfast was fresh and enjoyable each morning — though it was the same selection every day. The view from our room was lovely, and the location made it easy to reach both the city center and the main train station on foot.

We booked a double room and choose the two twin bed option. Nice size room with a balcony that has two chairs and a little table. While booking the photos of the room were different but I was very happy to get the room we got. Location is very good, close to the Brussels train station. Also the city center. In the main lobby there is different kinds of coffee for free. From the train station you can get to the hotel using the underground tunnel which exits by the hotel.

The place was very close to the city center and train station. The room was clean and well-designed. The hotel had one of the best breakfasts by European standards. I'd like to specially mention Lorena and Andrea, they helped out with every issue and were very friendly. They were efficiently talking in English and Spanish aside from French which is rare in most parts of Belgium. If I ever visit Brussels again I'll definitely will be staying here.

Great place for staying in Brussels! 15 minute walk to the city center, also has lots of restaurants nearby, as well as the Bruxelles Central Station at just 5 minute’s walk, which is great, because you can take a train from the airport to the city and arrive to the hotel in just minutes, as well as taking trains to other cities like Antwerp. We will be staying here again for a next visit!

Fantastic Hotel near the Grand Place in the center of Brussels. Very close to a metro station and train station, taxi rank on the doorstep. The room was large and warm and the view fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was excellent with enormous choice and plentiful. There is a small cafe attached so food and drink always available. I often stay here and will again.
