I was in Bangladesh partly for tourism and partly to deliver a seminar. We booked the Holiday Inn primarily because it was located centrally and close to places we wanted to visit. We expected a standard, so-called business hotel; comfortable and good value for money without being exceptional. We were wrong! The hotel is fantastic. It is very new and so everything is new and shiny. The rooftop swimming pool is spectacular. The rooms are lavishly appointed and the bathrooms are very plush. A nice touch is the button at the bottom centre of the mirror in the bathroom. Pressing that lights up a the rim of the mirror all around; makes for a great shaving (me) or make up experiment (wife). The breakfast buffet is extensive and sumptuous. But if there is one things that sets the hotel apart, it is the courteousness and helpfulness of the staff. In general people in Bangladesh are unfailingly polite. The hotel was no exception. Staff were so friendly that we were overwhelmed by their kindness. I want to make special mention of a few people. Alam in house-keeping. I have seldom met such a hard-working and conscientious man. He was unfailingly cheerful and helpful. I understand that Alam is currently cross-training to start working in the reception. I sincerely hope he gets the job. He will be a wonderful face to a wonderful hotel. I love guavas. Everyday at breakfast they had excellent guavas except for the last day. I happened to talk to Sharmin and I said "Hey no guavas? I love your guavas. They were the best I have ever had." To my consternation, Sharmin appeared a little later with two plates of freshly cut guavas! This was beyond my expectation and I really felt embarrassed since I was meaning to complement the hotel and not complain. But at every step of the way, the staff at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. I will almost certainly look to say at the Holiday Inn when I visit Bangladesh next.

This property is in heart of Dhaka city and it has nice resturant , gym facility and spa too. The assets is the smiling staff , reception and their hospitality. They all love to serve their customer to best of their ability . Apart from this they have a travel counter too. They win the hearts of customer by thier liberalised policy in extending more and more comfort by all possible means.

Behaviour and service of the staff, from Door Keeper to House Keeping to Front Desk to Restaurant, everybody was cordial, helpful, and prompt.

New, clean, well maintained property. Super value for money. Excellent staff; from entrance security, housekeeping staff and dinning team to Roni the manager. Excellent breakfast. Fully recommend the property.

The hotel is very pristine. The staffs are nice and friendly. The food quality is extremely good and very tasty.

Polite staff, clean & spacious rooms. What impressed me the most is an Executive Chef Parvaj Alam. He was with us every breakfast, asked if the food was delicious and made us a special things for this place. It was an amazing experience. Thank you very much!

The staff was really nice and allowed me for early check in and late check out. The breakfast is the best I had in Bangladesh, lot of variety. The single room was good sized and clean, and most importantly very quiet! There is also a nice rooftop to relax.
