Shimmers is beautiful place from which to enjoy Barbados. It’s beautifully designed within and has all the modern facilities you could ask for. Marcia, the property manager, was friendly and communicable, and the beach is a short walk away for sunrise swims and sundowner drinks.
Legend Garden Condos stands on a 250-year old plantation across the road from Mullins Beach, one of the most popular beaches on the west coast.

The location of this property was great for us. Just opposite the entrance was the lovely Mullins beach with a great bar and restaurant. Mullins beach is fantastic for a sunset cocktail. An additional 10 minutes walk gets you to the very underdeveloped Gibbs beach which is beautiful. There are several dining options a few minutes walk from the Legend Condos but if you want to go further afield its easy. Buses run up and down the road outside the Legend Garden Condos and they will get you to Holetown ( where there is a big supermarket) and to Bridgetown. In the other direction we were easily able to walk in to Speightstown which has a very good range of dining options and a supermarket.
The property itself was nice and quiet as it was far enough back from the road for us not to be disturbed. The pool area is lovely and there are shaded places to sit and eat outside in the gardens.
Our room, although the decor is dated and not to everyone's taste had everything that we needed and was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The air conditioning was very effective.
