Hotel Visegrad is beautiful. It’s right in the centre of the town and is located next to bridge on the Drina River. Staff were exceptional and the hotel room was lovely and clean. Breakfast is included in the stay and they had a great menu. I recommend going down stairs and having breakfast on the terrace, the view was breathtaking. From memory they open up really early too. Across the road there’s plenty of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets etc. My best friend had her wedding on the terrace, which was the reason for my stay in the hotel, and I have the fondest memories here. I will definitely stay here again when coming to Visegrad next.

Amazing Location well equipped apartment. Very comfortable apartment with everything you need. Warm welcome by the host. Apartment came with coffee/tea/sugar/cappuccino sachets and even welcome sweets. Made me feel at home.

A beautiful little apartment with a big terrace and great views. I don't think I've ever stayed in a place that's as nice and clean as this one. Mladen is a perfect host, accommodating and easy to communicate with. I only wish we could have stayed longer so I could have rested more on that excellent mattress. It's a 10+ minute walk to Andricgrad or the bridge. The host-recommended pita at "Furuna" was pure perfection!

Can totally recommend this place! 10 out of 10. Very friendly and caring owners, spotless clean comfortable apartment. Beautiful location at the river bank, two steps away from the bridge, parking right in front of the house. We have great stay here, and hope to come again :)

Visegrad is beautiful. It has everything.

Visegrad is beautiful. It has everything. The river , the bridge, book stores, monasteries and people funny to watch and interact. I am thinking for long term stay, Ivo Andric knew what he was doing. Maybe that is the perfect city for your pension to write the book of your life. The natives here will say: “ It is almost too perfect, because is too calm”.

The biggest problem are the traffic connections,of you're not travelling by your own car.The city has great historical values and the nature beauties are impressive.The prople are very friendly and nice and the prices aren't high at all.Recommendable

Small but lively place.

Small but lively place. Historic Mehmed Paša Sokolović bridge is definitely a sight to see, but could use some information on historical context, apart from what Andric imagined. Andricgrad / Kamengrad on the other hand is an excellent example of quasi - historic site, and interesting only in that regard.

The bridge depicted by Andric in his Nobel prize novel is simply beautiful and emanates history with each of stone blocks. The boat trip is also nice experience and useful to learn some more details about Visegrad, the Drina river and whole area. Andricgrad has great potential but needs some efforts, content and possibly, investment to become another exceptional landmark.

The city itself is unremarkable, but that's not why I went,...

The city itself is unremarkable, but that's not why I went, but because of the Bridge, the Drina and Andric. And these are wonderful! There is no monument to the Pionirska Street and Bikavac massacres, not a single sign anywhere, which I regretted. The giant graffiti glorifying Ratko Mladic is disappointing.

It's a charming town steeped in the legacy of the Nobel...

It's a charming town steeped in the legacy of the Nobel Prize-winning writer Ivo Andrić. The filmmaker Kustumica has constructed a hideous pseudo-village, a testament to his delusions of grandeur. Worse still, it mars the town's beauty and strips it of its essence. It's difficult to reflect on the town's recent history of war.
