There is so much history here. It really is situated at the crossroads of civilizations. So much excellent food and things to do, and the people are so friendly and helpful. This was our third visit - we can't wait to come back.

So much to see and do!
So much to see and do! The food is really good and very cheap by British standards. The BiH Museum was very good; the bit with the dinosaurs would excite a lot of children, I reckon. Ditto the cable car ride. Sarajevo is full of history, much of it tragic, but such a lovely place.

It was a good idea to take accomodation in the very center of the city. We also booked a guided tour, 3h long, which gave us an idea about the city and its main attractions. The city is an interesting mix of old and new, with marks of the (recent) conflicts and history but also lots of reconstruction going on. Be ready to see a lot of tourists from all over the world and many friendly shops. Take care though, to thiefs!

3 or 4 days is sufficient in Sarajevo. East meets West.
3 or 4 days is sufficient in Sarajevo. East meets West. The contrast between the brutality and destruction of the war 30 years ago coupled with a balance of peace, love, tolerance and harmony is an incredible mix of emotions.
The cable car ride to the top of the mountain provides spectacular views of the city.
For sports lovers visit both football stadiums. Even take in a match. It costs under a tenner.
The food is nearly always exceptionally well priced, in large portions and incredibly tasty. Most main courses between £6 and £12
If you are teetotal and want an alcohol-free beer, the options are a little restrictive although you can find a local beer and Erdinger for c£1.50. Both are extremely palatable. Expect to be questioned as to what is the point of beer without alcohol though !! This city likes to drink.
Once you have exhausted the city hire a car and visit Mostar and Neum.
The scenery is simply stunning.
Recommend kayaking on the Nevretti River.

Sarajevo city is a vibrant tapestry of history, culture, and resilience. Its charming old town, welcoming locals, and diverse cuisine make it a must-visit destination. The blend of Eastern and Western influences creates a unique atmosphere that captivates visitors, leaving them with unforgettable memories.
Mostar is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, renowned for its iconic Stari Most bridge that elegantly spans the Neretva River. The city's cobblestone streets, Ottoman architecture, and warm hospitality make it a picturesque and culturally rich destination. Exploring Mostar is like stepping back in time, where history comes alive at every turn, offering visitors a truly enchanting experience.
- Very friendly hosts - left a very good impression of Bosnian hospitality
- The apartment is super clean, well lit and spot-less
- looks better than the pictures on booking.com & tastefully set up.
- very good neighborhood - safe and quiet - good security measures in the building
- Elevator in the building
- a short walk to the town centre (4 or 5 minutes)
- plenty of restaurants, shops and groceries in the vicinity
- well equipped apartment
The location of this hotel is so central however the street itself is not too noisy/busy at night. It was a short walk downhill to the main square (a bit steep coming back up but it's a short walk). There is also shops/food places on the door step. They have reserved on street parking across the road, spaces are limited so book in advance. The host was friendly & accomadating. I would book this place again if I were to return to Sarajevo.
Bosnians are very hospitable people and this bed and breakfast/hotel is no exception. Everyone from Kerim the receptionist to the breakfast lady are very helpful. Rooms are spacious, Bosnian coffee at breakfast is tasty, and location is great since it’s only a short walk from the old town. I also appreciated that they were able to arrange taxis for me. Thanks!
There were private breakfasts with a private chef, just for me. A strong Bosnian breakfast for a long day. Breakfast is served in the basement, in the restaurant, but I had it more than once in the cafe, well served, chatting with people.
Very private parking free parking I like a lot.
Hotel position is minutes walk from Iliđa center.
I booked the hotel depending upon the reviews but unfortunately what I saw was disappointing. First of all there is no iron, there is no Kettle, the mini bar is not free not even the water and there is no bathroom kit ( toothbrush, toothpaste, hair comb ) . The WiFi was not that good, it gets disconnected.
Hotel is very small but on great location, only few minutes away from old town ''Baš čaršija''. Housts are very friendly and helful, we got very usful information about taxi and Diner location. Base on their recomendation we visit Kiba mahala restaurant with great autentic Bosnian food.
Great location. High in the building with a wonderful view from both the balcony and bedroom window. An easy walk from the train station. Short walk to supermarkets. Sarajevo City Center and the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina are minutes away.
Breakfast was very nice, staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, position of small hotel is city center, old town, room was warm and comfy. Could not ask for more. Superb. Will surely come again. Thank you for warm turco-bosnian hospitality.
Hotel was super clean and super comfortable, but the biggest plus for this hotel goes to the staff. I have never been in a hotel with a more polite, friendly and accommodating staff and because of them I will surely book here again.
Hotel in the heart of sarJevo near to malls, cinemas Nd cafes .. room super clean and neat big more than expected .. shower and bathroom area smart ideas and power shower head .. i recommend this hotel to be #1 in bosnia
located 2min from the old town
new hotel everything is clean
the staff are amazing they are very friendly 💛
it is near to everything you want in Sarajevo
I highly recommend everyone to book in this lovely hotel.
The location and price are the biggest selling points of this place. We booked a private room so we had our own bathroom and you can’t ask for a more convenient location to Baščaršija.
Moj izbor svakog puta kad sam u Sarajevu. Sjajna lokacija, ljubazno osoblje i moderan enterijer soba i restorana. Nemojte zabici da probate i hranu u restoranu koji je u sklopu hotela.
Zoe, Ryan, Rene and my bosnian guy was %100 warm hearted people. I highly recommended. The rooms are also clean and if you are looking booking right now stop to looking and book here!
Was provided smaller flat then what I booked. As per host it’s some issue with booking website. But host is good, responsive and always ready to help. Overall good stay.
