As we were going to arrive late at night, we called in advance to let the property know. Raj provided with the room number and ensured us that the room will be waiting for us. When we arrived after midnight we saw our name on the door, which made it easier for us to find the room. Also, as we walked in the room the heater and the lights were on. Thank you for being so considerate!

Yass is a great little village that has everything you need.

Yass is a great little village that has everything you need. We visited the Tyger Art Gallery, Ross's Relics and Tootsie cafe. Also the Train Museum where they had an artisan market on the weekend that we were there. We ate at Ewe and I and also Yass Soldiers Club. Not too far away from Yass is a village called Murrumbatemen. There we visited a winery, an Alpaca Farm and and Highgrove Pottery. Everybody was helpful and friendly everywhere we went.

Yass is very picturesque.

Yass is very picturesque. It has a mixture of old and new buildings which blend together well. It simply has a nice feel to the place. Ate at one of the clubs - RSL? Food was great - atmosphere was very good.

We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of Yass and enjoyed the historical walking tour of the town and a leisurely walk along the river. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Kaffeine in town and had fun discovering the gift shops and their beautiful wares. We found Yass a great base to explore the different surrounding regions and towns.

Yass is a typical country town with a good range of cafes and restaurants/pubs. On this occasion, on a public holiday we found that The Australian hotel pub has good selection of beers and food with more than generous portions. The same applies to their desserts.

A lovely historic town with a great walk near the river.

A lovely historic town with a great walk near the river. The closeness to Canberra was very beneficial as I heard Vivaldi, some Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Paganini played by the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne which consisted of 5 stringed instruments and a Spanish baritone soloist. I was lucky to have heard them in the Catholic Chapel. It was the highlight of my trip.

The host was organised and attentive. The room was clean and satisfactory in every way. It was a cooler night but the room remained at a comfortable temperature. Very pleasant room. Although the road outside is busy the room was very quiet. Yass is a lovely little town and worth visiting.

Everything was so clean and tidy. Then we went to get into bed. The linen was hotel quality. Beautiful. It makes such a difference to have fine quality linen to sleep in and bath towels that actually dried you. Recommend this motel plus plus. I even congratulated the owner.
