I went to Sydney to see Bill Frizell, Hiromi and Lettuce and stayed in the YHA The Rocks which allowed me to walk, easily, to the beautiful City Recital Hall, the brilliant Australian Geographic Nature Exhibition at the Australian Museum and the historical Discovery Museum and local historic architeture at the Rocks. While at the Museum, I realised how much I had missed by not visiting this great Museum over all those years I had visited Sydney.

Ideal for over night stay if you have an early flight.

Ideal for over night stay if you have an early flight. Only complaint would be the shower as it needs a bath mat as it is slippery getting in and out, an accident waiting to happen. Could be a little cleaner but overall value for money for over night travellers.

Sydney has a good range of things to do and see.

Sydney has a good range of things to do and see. There are so many good restaurants, pubs and shopping places. The main thing to make sure of is that you have easy access to public transport as taxis and rideshare are expensive, also, public transport disruption is common over weekends sometimes which makes getting around take much longer. Overall, Sydney is a nice place to visit, the main drawback is that it is very expensive, like most cities in Australia.

We stayed in Bondi Beach, which we love, but finding clean affordable accommodation has become more and more difficult over the years. All the apartments we have stayed in recently have been over priced and not very clean, with limited facilities.

We loved Sydney.

We loved Sydney. Lots of parkland for pleasant walks and picnics. Great beach walks with lots of people swimming. Lots of theatre options and night-life if thats your thing. Of course, there are shops galore for every taste.

Our 3 bedroom apartment really was an oasis on the water. The accommodations were excellent. Beautiful view. Modern appliances. Wifi. TV Apps. Everything was not-notch. Shopping, food court, and parking onsite. 2-minute walk to the ferry landing and to public transportation to Olympic Park. Our check-in process went smoothly with personal walk-through and explanation of appliances, security, and onsite amenities. Of the ten apartments and hotels we had on this vacation, this one was by far the best!
