Sooooo much to like! Gorgeous views, spacious apartment with fabulous views, plush towels, thoughtfulness - night light, a choice of pillows, a mini dishwasher, laundry, and only 3 doors to the best seafood restaurant! And ... unlike many places, the key safe was easy to use. We loved everything about the town, the community and the accommodation.

My stay at this hotel was wonderful! The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities I needed, plus it was incredibly convenient - just steps away from the penguin beach. But what truly amazed me was their outstanding integrity. After I checked out, I realized I'd left my treasured watch behind. I was heartbroken, thinking it was lost for good. Imagine my immense relief and gratitude when the hotel manager contacted me! Not only had they found and safely stored it, but they kindly offered to mail it back to me in Hong Kong. The joy of getting my watch back was incredible. This genuine care and going the extra mile for a guest is truly rare and deeply appreciated. Thank you so much! Combined with the lovely room and perfect location, I highly, highly recommend this hotel. An outstanding experience!

This was our best accommodation for our entire trip. The green house had three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and large lounge area. As we were travelling as a couple with a friend we were able to spread out. The beds were comfortable and it was lovely to sit out on the deck and have a wine on our arrival. Very close to the penguin watching too.

Great little pretty village with lots of historical cottages...

Great little pretty village with lots of historical cottages, excellent pub meal & wine bar across the road. Lovely place to walk around and venture up the Nut, an old extinct volcano, by chair lift or walking track

We stayed 2 nights in a ground floor unit - just great, the view was wonderful , just great to sit and watch the waves and the changing seascape. The room was very clean and everything we needed albeit a few larger plates and cutlery would have been helpful. The bed super comfy, electric blanket and plenty to keep us warm. The bathroom very clean although an older style the shower in the bath a danger.’ Stanley is an interesting area good little shops but the winner the seafood ship with a great seafood restaurant above - don’t miss it! A great place to stay.

The Nut is a must visit.

The Nut is a must visit. Be prepared for a 2Km walk to see all its features. We got caught in the rain so it wasn't pleasant. The hotel and Hurseys provided good meals. The weather can be brutal and curtail some activities - be prepared or time your holiday with temperate conditions.

The town is beautiful with many lovingly restored old houses...

The town is beautiful with many lovingly restored old houses. We were not expecting such an attractive place. The walk around the nut was good too, especially the views of course. Another highlight was seeing bumble bees enjoying the onion weed. We don't have them in Victoria. We highly recommend the cafe below the nut.

Well worth doing The Nut and the local restaurant Hursey's was a treat..... nice self guided tour of the historical town. Its also a pleasant drive to Stanley from Launceston with a lot of coast roads.

The town itself oozes charm.

The town itself oozes charm. We had the perfect lunch in the red pub close to the chairlift to the Nut. The lift up and back was brilliant but the walk around the top of the Nut was the highlight of our day. We did the walk in the clockwise direction which was perfect as this was easier on the legs. If your a senior this makes a difference!

In an almost unbelievable location looking out to sea from Stanley harbour, this accommodation was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. We made our own meals there as well as enjoying g a super meal up at the bistro in the Stanley Hotel. We were battered by high winds while at Stanley, but the flat was warm and protected us well. The best facility was that fairy penguins hop onto land right behind the flats just after dark - delightful.

Fabulous location with a great view of Stanley. We loved the breakfast options provided, and the amenities (full kitchen with all the cooking utensils you need, washing machine and dryer, spa bath overlooking the view, comfortable king sized bed) and the small touches like the local chocolates on arrival and flexible check-in. We're already talking about coming back to Tasmania just to spend more time staying here!

Location, beautifully refurbished cottage, felt homey, had everything you could think of including ensuite, walk in robe with kitchenette, table and chairs with continental breakfast provided (bread, jams, butter, fruit, yogurt, cereals and juice) with lovely view over Stanley A shared lounge is provided with complimentary port and chocolates and a fireplace (which hosts will light if requested)

Stanley is a beautiful town. The fairy penguins come up from the beach into the caravan park. The park was conveniently located in town. The park was very clean and tidy.
