Clean, comfortable and spacious. Alan is a kind, interesting local man. Great experience in the secluded and silent Peninsula. If you don't have a car, public transportation is very limited, but ask Alan about it! If he is available, he might help you move around for a small fee.

Host Krista provided so many thoughtful extras, from a variety of teas, cereals, and snacks to turning on the heat prior to our late arrival so we would be comfortable. The lake view is also lovely!

Such an amazing place! Excellent communication all along from reservation to during our stay. We had the best night's sleep - really comfortable bed and completely silent at night. The stars in the night sky were amazing, we spent ages stargazing before going to bed. The other stars are the cows! Huge thanks to Rod who gave us a great tour and let us get right up close and brush the cows, they were amazing, such lovely animals. All the while the hens pecking around us too, and the friendliest dog tagging along as well. Couldn't have asked for more and we were sad to leave. If we were coming again I'd stay two nights for sure, especially when you buy a ticket for Port Arthur Historic site and it can be used over two days, because it's just a few minutes down the road. Highly recommended!

Just a tip, it is fairly isolated from major supermarkets. we stocked up in sorell on the way. we drank the tap water and it is fine. All the attractions are 20-30 min car rides from saltwater except the coalmine convict settlement.
