SALE was a lovely area to visit , friendly people and...

SALE was a lovely area to visit , friendly people and excellent places to dine out . Walks around the water front and surrounding region were beautiful. Lots of historical architecture with a rich military history with the east IRAAF base since the 1940s. . This town has alot of that old Victorian country charm that you just don't experience in the large cities, I would recommend a stay at the matador hotel for its quirky decor and excellent customer service & continental breakfast .

Suggest that you take the river cruise very informative, a walk around the lakes for exercise plus have a meal at Viet's Kitchen all well within the walking distance of our accommodation "At Home Accommodation"

We found the buisness staff friendly.

We found the buisness staff friendly. Sale had a lot to offer. Lovely lakes within walking distance and parks to enjoy a picnic or quiet moment taking in the wild life. The weather was surprizing for this time of the year.( late July) The town has everything for all kind of travellers. Could have syayed longer and will be coming back to stay a little longer.

Sale is an interesting place. A comfortable size town. The surrounding area is pleasant. The Gippsland gallery is superb. Wonderfully curated exhibitions. I went for the Meine and Turner exhibitions from Melbourne. Will go again.

The Art Gallery in Sale is always a pleasure to visit as the exhibits change regularly and are so well displayed. Nice location too, near the water with a few nice cafes. The township has a good range of shops and some very good restaurants.

The History is interesting. The Art Gallery is excellent.

The History is interesting. The Art Gallery is excellent. We enjoyed the cruise from Port Sale to the swing bridge on the Rubeena with Alan. Easy town to get around and easy walking. Visit to Maffco Brewery well worth it. Weather in November is a mixed bag.

Breakfast included is great when you are not familiar with what is available locally. Really enjoyed the Regional Art Gallery in Sale plus exploring surrounding towns and coastline. Plenty of friendly advice from the locals if you were not sure of locations, and in Yarram a wonderful mural painted in 1999 by D. Leversha based on early life in the district
