It was the quiet season and rainy but we sat on the front veranda outside our glamping tent and watched the ocean, koalas, a possum ran right in front of our feet. It was the most magical day, completely with nature (which is a big say for me as I live in a van normally so am normally in nature). Toilet and shower block was average but clean.

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at this beautiful resort.

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at this beautiful resort. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning — designed like a winding river that flows gracefully around the property, creating a peaceful and unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, our apartment was on the wrong side of the “river pool,” where there were no steps or ladders to get out easily. Since the pool wall is about 1.3 meters high, it was quite a challenge for us — elderly people , jumping out was more than difficult!

Salamander Bay is beautiful, there are so many activities to...

Salamander Bay is beautiful, there are so many activities to do and you are close to the beach, shops and great places to eat. I recommend going on a camel ride, horse riding, quad bike riding, take the whole family to toboggan Hill and roller blade, take the family on the toboggan, play mini golf, hit the beaches, enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, juice, pizza, fish n chips what ever you like eating and drinking it will definitely hit the spot, at the diggers club, berubi Beach tavern, pop into the local stores and grab a ice cream, go for a drive to enjoy the scenery, and learn about the history. Have fun , enjoy the quiet.

It has everything, a good shopping centre, restaurants, a great pub, kids friendly, a beach, fishing and close to other towns like Nelson Bay, Anna Bay, Fingal Bay, also close to animal & marine parks etc. Highly recommend Salamander Bay foe all ages.

The owners have a wonderful guide book of everything you can...

The owners have a wonderful guide book of everything you can do in and around Salamander Bay. Use their suggestions - Its detailed and a great way to finding the best food, best walks, bakeries, coffee shops, best play areas for children and things to do in wet weather. They haven't missed a beat in this guide book! We had a wet week so went ten pin bowling, movies, Soldiers point Bowling Club which has a fantastic play area for kids. Two Bobs bakery in Nelson Bay is fab and Atmos for lunch in Shoal Bay is the best for a sunny day eating great Greek food and watching the Bay glisten in the sun - perfect for long lunches!

Nice place to stay ,lot of shops ,restaurants and parks ,it’s fun for all ages Really easy to get around The beaches are beautiful for swimming ,surfing or fishing We loved Fingal Beach and we loved the quad rides on the sand dunes

Peaceful location, quiet, until our kids were playing outside 😉 Unit very clean and well appointed, 8 beds plus a fold out sofa and spare mattresses! Salamander Bay is in a great region. The B and b is in a great location close to shops and an easy drive to beaches and activities. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The room is nice and big and well equipped. There is a pool to relax in. Breakfast is also good.
