Staff were amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Price was very good. Exceeded my expectations, as the place is a lot nicer than the cover picture makes it look. (I think you should update this guys! 😜 Feel free to use the night time one I have included in the review.)

Queanbeyan Park is a nice little park in spring. Streets are lined with white blossom trees in spring. Monthly markets with local businesses selling own gin, homemade cakes, woolen garmets, flowers etc was a bonus find on my weekend.

Good access to airport and Canberra central via Canberra ave(10 -15 mins) traffic flows well for Canberra, but once you are in the CBD slows to snail pace. Parking at motel was good, parking in Canberra was also good but expensive. You can see most of the tourist sites in Canberra from this motel within 1/2 hr, we saw most of them within 4 days. If you are a cafe, wine-bar or restaurant and night-life lover then book in the CBD, it has these in spades. As older travellers we like to see museums, art galleries,botanical gardens, zoos etc, so this nearby location was great.

Fairy quiet town. Good mix of amenities.

Fairy quiet town. Good mix of amenities. Short commute to the capital. Lots of parks for kids to play at. Shopping is a good mix available. Easy to get around. Parking near all the shops. Eateries galore in main street. Have tried Cathay Chinese , Royal Turban Indian on previous trips and both are great. The theatre is central to town check it out

Queanbeyan is on the outskirts of Canberra, with supermarkets and other shops. It is ideally located just 10-15 min drive into the Canberra CBD meaning accommodation is a bit cheaper and usually with free parking when compared to a CBD hotel.

If you're looking for a great place to dine, my husband and I thoroughly recommend Punjabi Hut, an Indian restaurant in Crawford St, one of the main streets in town. They are open for dinner from 5pm, the service is tremendous and the cuisine is a delight.

The king size bed provided one of the best sleeps i have ever had, I am not joking! I can't believe the value of my stay, only paid $116 for one night (passing through from Sydney to Melbourne) and the air con worked great, wifi internet was excellent, location was great it's close to everything in Queanbeyan and only 16min drive from Canberra. Honestly I can't wait to stay again next time I visit Canberra.

I travel to Queanbeyan/Canberra fortnightly, my regular hotel was booked out, so I decided to try out the Grand motor inn, great decision I made. Brilliant location, short 5 minute walk to the local club, shops, takeaways ect. Very homely rooms, nice and quiet, spacious. Couldn’t ask for much more for the money. Added bonus was the bath tub.

Charming reception on arrival. Very well executed renovation of the room, kitchenette and bathroom. Good sized room. Double glazed windows cut out the traffic noise on Canberra Ave. Extremely comfortable bed. Amazing shower and generous towels. Nice toiletries. Location great for Queanbeyan and Canberra.
