The location was excellent, it was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. The Huon Lounge for breakfast was excellent, stylish, bright and cheerful.

The hosts were lovely and the breakfast exceptional. The rooms were in keeping with the era of the house and it was lovely to have a sitting room to enjoy a cuppa and read for a while. Beautiful gardens.

I've stayed in 5 star hotels and they've failed to meet my expectations like this place did. The location is beautiful, the host is so kind and easy. The room was immaculately clean, big and the bathroom will be a place that lives on in my dreams. This has been by far my favourite and most memorable experience staying anywhere. I could not recommend this place enough and we will be coming back.

A cute chapel styled accommodation on the hill with a beautiful view. So peaceful and everything you need for a fantastic stay. Lovely extras supplied, bread was yum. Snacks if you feel like them. Great bathroom, tub, and shower with a view.

It was a lovely little cottage in a quiet and peaceful rural area. The interior was very tastefully furnished to exceptional standards. Gerry was an attentive host who gave us everything we needed and more. I will recommend her cottage to friends and family who will be travelling to Tasmania in the future.

An interesting area with things to see.

An interesting area with things to see. The Hastings caves were wonderful and the Tahune Adventures Airwalk is great too. It's a bit hard to find a coffee and something to eat at times, if you don't plan ahead.

A nice calm place to stay and visit.

A nice calm place to stay and visit. With not having been to the Huon Valley before, I thought that maybe we had chosen a place to stay that was too far away. That is not the case. The Kermandie Hotel has a nice vibe and Port Huon is a great "hamlet" location to visit with towns either side. Highly recommend this accommodation and location to stay and relax. The room size was perfect for 2 adults and had good kitchen facilities if required.

Port Huon as the gateway to Bruny Island was good.

Port Huon as the gateway to Bruny Island was good. What is bad is the booking.com, which is an American multi-national ripping off locals. They should stop stealing from tourists by getting them to do reviews for free.

Quaint township, perfectly situated to explore the whole...

Quaint township, perfectly situated to explore the whole Huon Valley and further south. We had great meals at the Kermandie Hotel, which had a variety of vegetarian meals. Favourite spots were Cygnet, there is a great book shop and alternative shop, Huonville, busy but has a variety of op shops and cafes, and further down south at Dover and Southport, where there are great fishing spots and camping areas.

The Kermandie is a nice place to stay in this area for a...

The Kermandie is a nice place to stay in this area for a family of three. Would only recommend that the main bed be updated as it was not a restful sleep due to the springs in the mattress. Also our room must of been above the kitchen in which they had quite loud music playing in the afternoon and during service but then thank fully stopped of a night time.

Good location in that it was close to a larger centre (Huonville) whilst only 5 minutes or so from Geeveston (with a very good butcher and sushi [available at the weekends]) and Franklin with its restaurants, especially Osteria. The problem is the lack of footpath type space so walking on a main road could be hazardous.

It was a lovely hotel to stay in. It had been renovated very nicely and there is a nice view from the lounge upstairs. We had a very nice continental breakfast included. We loved the poached pears and fresh fruit available too. We ate dinner in the bar both nights and had lovely meals. All the staff were very friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay. We stayed here as it was a good base for the Tahune Airwalk and Hastings Cave, both excellent activities.
