The receptionist and staff on duty are very warm, friendly and helpful. Since we had a long time to spend in Devonport before embarking on our ferry to Geelong, the receptionist advised us to drive to La Trobe. It's a most charming small town with the best gift shop in the world, named the Reliquery. You must not miss this lil town and gift shop. Besides, the hotel's location is so near to the Spirit of Tasmania pier. We had no problems taking our car into the ferry to Geelong. Thank you so much Gateway staff and management

The view from the room was excellent! We have booked the King Studio room and the room was facing to the Mersey River. We are wildlife lover, so that was so excited for us to look at the wetland and Australia Pelican, Gulls, and Lapwings everywhere in front of the room! Also, you can enjoy a leisure walk around the house. There was a boardwalk just outside the room and you can walk alongside the promenade to the Horsehead Creek RV camp. A short walk, but you can enjoy the nice sunset there.
