We were a family of 6, 2 grandparents sleeping in one of the Eco retreats and 2 parents with 2 kids sleeping in another one. The place is like a big tent standing in a wood platform but with all the luxuries of a regular apartment. We got there in the afternoon and a couple of Kangaroos were standing just in front of the place. The landscape around the place is beautiful, and the tents have something special. They also have nice firework places, a volleyball net, a little playground… our kids had so much fun. Also, we were there in June, and even though it was quite cold outside we were quite comfortable inside with a little heater and electric blankets. Nice place!

The toy shop lady was amazing like the bookshop lady. I didn’t get their names. Lorne is a beautiful sea side stop with many facilities, like Restaurants from different corners of the world, Greek cuisine, Mexican, modern Australian, Vietnamese and others, surrounded by great beaches and excellent scenery all year round.

I love Lorne in all seasons.

I love Lorne in all seasons. The beach is great in warmer months and the forests are great all year round. Plenty of walks, lots of good cafes and restaurants, the newly renovated Grand Pacific Hotel is insane. It's a sleepy town in Winter, but I like that very much - it's so cosy, lots of places have fireplaces. I love Lorne.

The government bus service to get to Lorne and Apollo Bay...

The government bus service to get to Lorne and Apollo Bay from Geelong is very cheap and enabled both of us to relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery for the hour long journey, instead of the stress if navigating a very windy road. Lorne is very quaint and well serviced. There are great foreshore walks to have and some level of fitness is required. If you prefer eating and coffee there are plenty of cafes and restaurants plus boutiques for shopping. Thoroughly recommended a visit.

Mantra Lorne has fantastic facilities for a holiday.

Mantra Lorne has fantastic facilities for a holiday. Fantastic greek restaurant named (IPSOS) opposite the Mantra Lorne. Great food and great service make sure you book especially on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner, awesome. Great walks around Lorne and a beachside atmosphere.

This location was stunning. Overlooking the beach and pier and surrounded by wildlife, it was a nice walk along the beach to Lorne, great for kids and parents alike. It has everything you can think of you will need as a family from tupperware and kitchen foil to toiletries and clothes dryer. Great house! We will be back for sure.

Perfect for a family of four. The house was clean, comfortable and cosy and only a short walk to the centre of Lorne and the beach. We appreciated the variety of games and dvds available and the host was prompt in addressing our concern re: internet outage and was accommodating of our request for a slightly earlier check in time.

The Matra Lorne is a very nice play to stay. The breakfast was great and it's in a good location. It's located right on the beach which was great. We stayed in the old house so the rooms are older but good. The shower was great
