Qantas; Stockmen’s Hall of Fame, close together. Nice shops in Eagle St, Main Street. Loved that the streets are named after birds. Drive to Winton was easy in morning. Temp 35-38 deg, not too hot.
Our teen grandsons enjoyed the museums and the train trip to get to Longreach on Spirit of Outback. A great adventure holiday for us all.

We loved the friendly people.
We loved the friendly people.
We loved the experience of being away from busy towns.
We dined at the RSL and the hotels and the food was good.
We used Golden West Tours to travel to the Darr River Homestead which was an excellent experience. They also took us on a day trip to Muttaburra also excellent.
This tour company is absolutely brilliant.
We had a fun filled friendly very informative time.

I visited the QANTAS musem very briefly, and plan to return...
I visited the QANTAS musem very briefly, and plan to return and see the full tour as well as the Stockman's Hall of Fame on my way back through as I was travelling through Longreach to Mount Isa, but I highly recommend a visit out there to one and all.
And I have sooo mannny places to see and explore.
It's a fabulous place to explore and the weather is so beautifully warm and sunny, what's not to love?

Has been a bucket list place to visit for some time for me...
Has been a bucket list place to visit for some time for me and did not disappoint. Stockmans Hall of Fame was brilliant and very much enjoyed my visit to the QANTAS museum. Can also recommend the boat cruise on the Thomson River.

Very peaceful place, locals were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Great place to explore. Plenty of dining options. River cruise was highlight of our visit. Dinner at the Birdcage & lunch at Longreach Tavern.

Longreach was excellent and both the Hall of Fame and the Founders Museum exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend them. Sunset on the Thompson was a great experience, meals were perfectly adequate and the coffee shop great.

This was a quirky little accommodation option with a friendly staff. They arranged to pick me up at the airport. The room was located out back of the main building and felt like a little apartment of my own. The bed was comfy and I appreciated having a separate kitchen with a fridge and coffee-making facilities. I ate the hotel breakfast buffet one day and found a wide choice of options.

No breakfast was mentioned so we went out for this. The location of the motel was excellent and very close to the RSL Club and the Birdcage Hotel for a quick bite or entertainment if required. Also easy walking distance to the Main Street if one was inclined. Overall location excellent.

Disgusting. We made our reservation through bookings.com. Arrived after a long ride only to find longreach private apartments did not honour our booking. Yes we had a booking.com confirmation. Tried to contact booking.com to no avail. Still waiting to hear back.

Close location to the main attractions in Longreach.
Loved the quirkiness of staying in the slab hut, felt authentic but with modern day luxuries. Very well equipped.
