Lovely location on the river and a pleasant walking distance to the middle of town. We got a lovely room in the silo part. Comfortable, clean, with lovely little touches like local products. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Archie the Silo dog was such a treat to have around and the best boy! We would recommend this to all our friends visiting Launceston.

The Florence is a charming hotel, especially because of its architecture, which is one of the reasons why we selected it. We just stayed for a night however, so there wasn't much time to explore. Our room was neatly furnished, what really stood out was the bathroom with the beautiful coloured glass windows. We enjoyed the breakfast in the beautiful hall and a little chat with the owner of the Florence, who was very kind. We would definitely stay here again.

Stillwater Seven is a very special gem! The amount of thought gone into every tiny detail was incredible. From the welcome drinks to the amazingly well stocked bar fridge with fresh cheeses and speciality pantry item was inspiring and a great promotion of Tasmanian produce. And then there were the wines and other alcoholic delights- more than I have seen in any other accomodation. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast in your room a joy. Fresh and tasty! And where do you start on a meal at Stillwater! Exceptional! All staff were warm and helpful. I 100% recommend! Thank you to everyone at Stillwater for a very special Tasmanian memory!

We liked the concept and the interior was well laid out. It was nice to have an outside sitting area. It was an easy walk into town with a 10 mins walk to Woolworths just down the road. A good place to eat is Metz a 5 mins walk down the road. We also were able to use the parking garage which was very handy.

What a gorgeous property! It definitely doesn't have cookie-cutter hotel rooms. Our room was beautiful with a 4 poster bed. We were sorry to only stay one night. It was also in a very convenient location for the down town.

The river cruise with lunch was terrific.

The river cruise with lunch was terrific. The boat captain had lost of historical information to pass on it was great, the trip up the gorge was also good. Thoroughly recommend the walk along the suspended walkway to Cataract Gorge and a ride on the chairlift down to the park area. Visit the suspension bridge too. On the way out stop and visit the Penny Royal Theme Park.

Our stay in Launceston was made up of visiting the many historical sites and places of interest. Enjoyed the trip up the Tamer Valley to George Town, and the historical buildings and old port area, along with some unusual wood carvings, carved from the branches of a tree, Also we went to the Gold Mine at Berresford, ceased operation in 1970, the Museum was interesting, showing amongst other things, the rescue of the trapped miners after a tunnel collapsed. Near by are a number of wineries, on the way to the Swiss Village, yes that is right, a full working Swiss Village, accommodation available there.

Launceston is ideally placed to visit surrounding parts of Tasmania. There are numerous sites to see and can be easily reached ina 1/2 day drive and return. We had a 4 day stay (restricted a bit by the weather). We loved the north-east around Low Head and George Town (found the best pies in Tamar Bakery). CBD was close to a number of eateries - Thai, Chinese etc.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our time in Launceston. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained—just what we needed after a long day of exploring. The fully functional kitchen was a big plus, making it easy to prepare our own meals when we felt like staying in. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great service all around. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant place to stay in Launceston!
