The staff were amazing. So friendly and kind. We had some staff who were quite new to the industry but they were so lovely and helpful and sweet. From the moment we drove up to the front we felt welcomed and were treated so well by all the staff. The facilities were also fantastic, the layout of the room was great, a really comfortable bed, really nice bathroom. When we got to our room we had 2 single beds instead of a large double bed, so we just rand downstairs and within minutes were given another room, the concierge came up shortly after to make sure we were happy with our new room and apologise for the inconvenience. We were extremely impressed by the staff at the hotel. Definitely recommend others to stay there.

What an amazing place to stay whilst we were in Umina for 4 days. The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The decor of the property, with so much attention to detail gave a warm, inviting ambiance. As we were in Umina on business, we couldn’t wait to finish for the day and go back “home”( because that’s what it felt like). I personally enjoyed reading all the books that were placed around the house. Both indoors and outdoors was spotless, a credit to the hosts. Our communication with Koreen was outstanding. Nothing was a problem. We would highly recommend Once Upon a Tide( great name, by the way!) to anyone looking for a place to stay whilst in Umina.

Handy location that's close to wide range of amenities, beaches and transport links. There's a bus stop close by as well as a shopping centre. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was comfy.

The seafood restaurant (Anthony's) is pleasant and the food is plentiful. The local pizza shops are not brilliant (we tried a few). Coles is close and everything if you are looking at a longer stay. Nice walks down by the beach and pleasant to take your dog. You can reach virtually everything in Kincumber by walking. The main road through town (Avoca) gets VERY busy during peak hours.

The unit is quite small but exceptionally clean.

The unit is quite small but exceptionally clean. The Suite is delightfully decorated and comfortable. The garden and fishpond are beautiful and a variety of seating is available. The Suite is in a suburban neighbourhood, but is peaceful and pretty. Perfect for a lone travellor or couple planning a short stay. As I was in town for a function in a neighbouring town (Avoca Beach), I did not get to see much of Kincumber itself.
