I loved everything about the cottage. Thoughtful touches like beautiful tableware, relaxing music playing on arrival. It was just gorgeous and I wish we could have stayed longer. Its walking distance to the village and a short drive to supermarket and surrounded by nature. It is also under an hour from Melbourne so I would definitely stay here over being in town.

I booked a stay for Saturday night but never received the...

I booked a stay for Saturday night but never received the access code to collect my room key. Despite calling and messaging the after-hours number multiple times, no one responded, so I couldn’t access the room and had no option but to drive home a best friend's wedding. When I followed up, the manager confirmed a refund but ended the call when I asked about the timeframe. Very disappointing experience overall! I’m still waiting for my refund and would not recommend staying here.

Stunning location, so close to Melbourne. If you enjoy hills, forest and spectacular views, there's heaps to love. I was saddened to see William Ricketts wasn't open during my stay, hopefully that is a temporary situation.

Beautiful walks, birdlife is superb(we even saw a lyrebird), and encountered a wombat several times. Weather ranged from sunny, heavy rain, fog and mist but the forest and walk to the Falls were incredible.

Kalorama and the Dandenong Ranges are gorgeous and a serene...

Kalorama and the Dandenong Ranges are gorgeous and a serene place away from the city but close enough for a break. Great for exercising in the Nature. It has easy access even for those who not drive. I went there by train (Mooroolbark or Lilydale Station) and took an inexpensive Uber ride to my hotel. Uber and Uber Eats are available in the region.

I found the staff to be friendly although the first gentlemen I encountered spoke a bit to quickly for me. They should change their advertising in line with the change, of business name. Maybe get some one to steam clean the carpets? It looks like they could use a bit of brightening up. Again do something about their advertising, We had trouble finding the place due to wrong signage

The villa is comfortable, spacious and very thoughtfully equipped. Highlights were the balcony with a beautiful forest view, and visiting cockatoos and lorikeets; the pool table that entertained the whole family, and the bbq and fire pit area for cosy alfresco evenings. Kalorama park is a short walk away, for a daily forest dog walk. We visited a few local attractions but our favourite time was spent relaxing together at the villa.

The hotel's location is beautiful! Very scenic and pleasing to the eye. The sound of birds chirping and the trees surrounding the grounds make it a very romantic location for a couple's get away. The bed was very comfortable and having the AC/heating unit be so close to the bed is wonderful.

Location was awesome, Kalorama is only a very short drive out from Olinda. Surrounded by stunning nature, beautiful natural gardens, coupled with the quaint and quirky layout and decor of the home it was cosy, inviting, and gave a warm homely feeling that instantly made us feel at ease.

What an incredible aspect so high in the mountains. Kalorama is quaint place with magnificent views. The Rustic Guesthouse was anything but rustic...it was amazing with such oldworld charm. Beautifully furnished and the colour scheme was so warm and embracing.
