The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect The host Patrick couldn't have been more accommodating and it was fantastic to meet the chef who cooked us up a lovely meal, such a great experience after a long day of traveling as we were made feel at home. We highly recommend this as a stop if you are traveling!

Riparoo is a a classic ski lodge placed ideally in the middle of Falls Creek. It has recently renovated rooms that are super clean, an excellent trying room and great dining and lounge areas. The management team of Claire and Al are friendly and engaging and the food is awesome! We'll be going back.

It's a lovely place to relax over the weekend. Spacious room for family and you can upgrade to a bigger one if you opt for more space. It's just 40 minutes drive going to Mt. Hotham summit which is absolutely wonderful.

The place is charming a typical country town that focuses...

The place is charming a typical country town that focuses itself on the pub hotel and motel. It's nice scenery with the mountain backdrop. But in reality, we only stayed there because it was cheaper than other places. And it was 20 minutes' drive to Bright. Bright is only good if you intend to go to the snow at Mount Buffalo or Fall's something. It's really bad having to make sure that you have chains for your tyres even if you are just going up to see the waterfall.

I come here for the annual music camp, but apart from that...

I come here for the annual music camp, but apart from that it is a beautiful part of Victoria which offers many outdoor activities and fine local produce. Bright is just 20 minutes away for a great holiday and shopping vibe and has all the services. The only issue is that with the Snowline pub closed for renovation there are fewer dining options. Also sadly the Tronoh dredge hole was closed for swimming due to blue-green algae, but the river is still there!

We only booked to stay at Harrietville because we originally...

We only booked to stay at Harrietville because we originally planned to leave our car in Hoys secured yard because chains would not fit on it so we couldn't take it up to Dinner Plain / Mt Hotham. However, with the ski season closing a week before we arrived we actually drove up to Dinner Plain the next day. That said, we were happy to stay in Harrietville, enjoying a nice dinner then breakfast there the next morning

Great location for an affordable stay at the snow.

Great location for an affordable stay at the snow. Basic accommodation but all we needed with 3 families and dorm set up suited our needs. Drying room was a real bonus as was the Hotel close by for a nice meal and daily coffee van out the front which opens at 6.30am for those early morning warm drinks to get the day started.

Harrietville is a nice little town, not as much...

Harrietville is a nice little town, not as much overpopulated and overcrowded as Bright, for most people it is, unfortunately, just an overnight stop. I like Harrietville because it is so close to mt Feathertop and several other hiking trails, so it’s a perfect base. There is a river to chill in a hot day, though not much swimming can happen there. And do not forget about a bakery with pretzels, they are really good!

Location is perfect in beautiful Harrietville. This is our third time staying at Shady Brook Cottages. We love everything about the place. The peace and tranquillity of the beautiful gardens, together with the stream that goes through the property. The cottages are of such a high standard with quality fittings and are extremely warm and cosy. We can’t wait to return.

Bright room with decor linked to mountain heritage made inviting. Drying room very effective after wet day skiing. We didn't make use of restaurant but staff were helpful in providing kitchen hours. Mostly clean facilities. Warm heater on cold night. Plenty of hot water. Location central to Harrietville including park. Roomy.

The Pub down the road, Harrietville Hotel has a great fire pit in the front beer garden. Staff were friendly, food was good, happy hour & daily specials. Wish we stayed there instead. Same price!
