What is not to like. Location was amazing and the accommodation had everything you needed and more. Loved the telescope and binoculars to be able to check out the surf and swans below. We picked up a take away pizza and enjoyed it with a bottle of local red on the deck as the sun went down. Joined by some wallabies. Excellent stay.

The local cafe in Coles Bay was great, perfect coffee, great...

The local cafe in Coles Bay was great, perfect coffee, great pastries, service with a smile. The roads are in excellent condition and you can drive all day without encountering issues. I would suggest a visit to Bicheno for lobster rolls (Lobster shack) and oysters (Marine farm). The walk up to the viewing platform for Wineglass Bay was worth the 400+ metres of steps. The sun is super strong, plan ahead.

We visited outside the peak periods so tours were much more pleasant than full boats and queues. Loved the location of our accommodation away from the township. Be aware that there are limited supply choices in the general stores.

We have walked the Wineglass Bay route previously (recommend...

We have walked the Wineglass Bay route previously (recommend) and this time we decided to try the Pennicott cruise. The cruise was fantastic and I highly recommend. All crew members were great and the meal provided in the standard ticket was generous and delicious. The onboard drinks/snacks were also reasonably priced. We visited in June and we were lucky enough to see whales as well as seals on our journey. Freycinet Lodge was lovely for sundowners.

Highly recommend Kayaking we had the most wonderful time and...

Highly recommend Kayaking we had the most wonderful time and the best guide you could ever hope for. So knowledgable and so much fun. We stopped halfway at a deserted beach for coffee and biscuits. Perfect!

We enjoyed all our meals in Coles Bay.

We enjoyed all our meals in Coles Bay. I spent the day in Freycinet National Park. I walked from the Visitor Centre to the Wineglass Bay Carpark via the Walk and Cycle track. Then did the Wineglass Bay lookout via Hazards Beach circuit. Beautiful views, great walk.

The Lodge is beautiful, service and food is first class.

The Lodge is beautiful, service and food is first class. The staff at the Visitor Information Center were very helpful. I would like to mention the cleanliness of the National Park and I would expect all the areas would be the same as the walk to Wineglass Bay.

Everything we needed for our stay in Coles Bay was available. The property was lovely with generous sized rooms. The garden,deck and seating areas were delightful. I appreciate when the kitchen includes supplies such as s&p, cooking oil and silver foil. There was even washing detergent in the laundry. It was so quiet of a night, yet only a short drive to go to a restaurant or into the national park.

Lovely modern, clean, well-equipped house. Has a delightful comfortable upstairs lounge area with nice views. Good location within Coles Bay, not far from tavern, shops, walks, etc. Would suit a couple or family. Has all the facilities for a longer stay. Plenty of games and books. We only stayed 2 nights. Parking is at the front door.

Our accommodation was very clean, and the cooking facilities, appliances, etc were fantastic. The location was really good, very close to the Freycinet NP. The general store at Big4 was surprisingly well stocked too. We watched the sunset at Coles Bay (short walk from Big4) one evening - it was beautiful!

The whole complex is very well designed with well equipped, private cabins and beautiful restaurant/ bar areas. The staff were fantastic, all very friendly and helpful. The deck has amazing views of Coles Bay The lodge is well situated in the National park and the shopping centre at Coles Bay
