One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at, and I travel a lot. The hotel was perfect, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive to every detail. The employees were truly an example of outstanding hospitality. The bed was perfect, extremely comfortable, and very large. The pool was amazing — the water was warm, and there is also a jacuzzi that I unfortunately didn’t get the chance to use. The location was perfect. Everything is around: all kinds of cafés, restaurants, and tours. The parking was excellent and very convenient. I couldn’t find a single negative thing about this hotel. From start to finish, everything was perfect. I would definitely stay again.

Cairns is a great holiday destination with so much to do.

Cairns is a great holiday destination with so much to do. Tropical Islands, hinterland hideaways, tourist attractions and untouched nature. It's a great mix of all the best things. Highlights of my trip were Mossman Gorge, snorkelling at Fitzroy Island, Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Railway. I also loved being on the Esplanade for all the eateries, and the fabulous swimming lagoon.

Went out to Michaelmiss Cay, great experience on a smaller family boat. Just need to pick the right weather,it was 20 knots and made it a bit uncomfortable for me snorkeling as I’m 77 but ok for everyone else. The staff on the boat were very friendly and helpful and safety was their main thing, checking all the time that everyone was on board etc and asking if you needed anything.

We didn't do our homework, could have spent longer. We plan on returning to do some of the things we missed. The train and Skyrail trip was amazing, although we would have liked to spend longer at Kuranda. Would consider overnight there for another trip. Lot's of beautiful restaurants to visit, we were really spoilt for choice. The aquarium is an incredible destination, so informative and stunning displays. Our trip out to the Barrier reef and snorkeling off the pontoon was phenomenal. Transport via Uber was super easy, really helpful when the temperatures are so high!

Cairns has always been a central hub for all kinds of visitors from backpackers to visitors in some of the elegant hotels. There are plenty of cafes, lunch and dinner venues then trips to offshore islands and outer reef for snorkeling and diving. Good airport access with domestic and some international flights as well as the famous Spirit of Queensland train to other tourist locations in Queensland through to Brisbane with connections to Brisbane Airport and the Gold Coast

Perfect for PBR fans: Mantra Trilogy sits right on the Cairns Esplanade, just a breezy walk from the PBR venue, Reef Casino, restaurants, and bars. Expect a spacious room with private balcony (ours had an ocean view) for post-rodeo chill‑out time. The huge resort pool and fully‑equipped kitchens mean you can unwind or refuel at your own pace. Note housekeeping is minimal (think towel drops-on‑request), parking can get tight, and Wi‑Fi varies but if you’re in Cairns for the action of something like PBR, location is top notch.

A tropical style, well positioned and well maintained neat hotel located in prime position in Cairns within 5 min walking distance to the Esplanade, bustling restaurants and bars. Magnificent sea views from our room. Couldn’t have been happier with our upgrade to a top floor sea facing ocean front room! Loved the layout! And the walk in shower. Thank you to the staff who were always smiling, helpful and willing to give you free cookies every time my husband visited the reception desk.

We were three families on a holiday in Cairns and what we were looking for was a comfortable stay , not too far from the city and with enough and more for the kids to do on the days we are in the resort. And Cairns colonial ticked all the boxes. There are enough pools to keep the kids active. Cairns esplanade is only about 10 mins away and all the tours pick you up from the resort. There is a pretty good breakfast menu and there are multiple dining options

The location to central Cairns is great! Very easy to get around. We had a double pram so that comes with all its own issues. The hotel was very easy to get to from the airport and was really cheap in a taxi ($25 AUD). Muddy's playground and cafe is a short 3 minute walk and is fantastic for little kids. Goose Cafe up the road in the opposite direction is the best coffee and breakfast in Cairns. we loved it!

The best property in Cairns if you’re looking for the best location. It is centrally located and walking distance from all the major attractions like esplanade, casino, the dock and has all the restaurants nearby. Best part was the trees outside the hotel where hundreds of beautiful birds chirp all the time and is a melody to the ears. must stay at this hotel if you’re visiting Cairns.
