SingaporeA special place, a fantastic getaway. Secluded, exclusive, peaceful. The kind of place you want to just chill out in your room or the lounges all day long with a good read and a bottle of your favourite tipple. But the beautiful outdoor beckons. We saw wombats wandering the grounds daily. Room, bed, and shower were all comfortable. The heated floor in the washroom felt like a luxury esp on cold mornings. The views of the lake and the snow capped mountains at dusks and dawns were always captivating. Breakfasts were more than adequate (loved the DIY hard boiled eggs) with both cold and hot choices. The cheeses, cold cuts and fresh baked breads provided for lunch was just the right option for room/lounge chilling and trekking. The 3 course dinners were fine dining set ups that allowed for conversations with adjacent guests. No attempts to rush you out by XXpm so it was possible to enjoy a slow meal and enjoy the company of fellow travellers while being well looked after by well trained staff. Would I stay here again if I pass this way? ... Yes.
