Loved this place. Much more than we expected. We had one of the units overlooking the small lake and really enjoyed the covered sundeck and the view. WiFi was great in our room despite a sign indicating only good bt office. Room and bathroom had a feel of a luxury unit with crisp sheets and modern bathroom. Plates, cutlery, kettle etc. Came in handy. Loved that we had on-demand heat in the unit, could walk to Lobster Shack, and Blowhole. Nice oceanside trail between the Blowhole and Lobster Shack. Wallabies on property was nice too.

Pear cottage was superb. It is just delightful, well-appointed, and modern. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. Everything was nicely thought out, which made for a comfortable stay. The location was great and quiet.

Bicheno is reminiscent of WA's iconic Margaret River but smaller and without the price tag! Lovely wineries, beaches and access to National Parks. Excellent seafood. Food shopping is a bit grim tho with only one poorly stocked IGA, so if you're driving recommend taking your own food. It's very close to Hobart, 150 Ks or so and a lovely drive to get there.

Bicheno is a fabulous, vibey beachfront town that is well worth a stay to maximise your East Coast Tassie experience. Great eateries, beautiful beaches and some funky shops as well. A great base to visit Freycinet & Wineglass Bay, as well as explore Apsley Gorge and the Bay of Fires. Close proximity to the surrounding vineyards and boutique breweries. We ate at Food'n'Brew Co (pizza, burgers) as well as the local pub and awesome bakery. We have previously eaten at the Lobster Shack, Sealife Restaurant and The Farm Shed (great little winery / brewery). All of this plus a well stocked IGA, pharmacy, general store, lovely accommodation options, and a cool vibe, Bicheno is a must-do!

We visited the Devils in the Dark show. Brilliant!

We visited the Devils in the Dark show. Brilliant! Viewing feeding the Tasmanian Devils over wine and cheese. Great dinner at Sealife Restaurant and Cafe. Comfortable stay at Bicheno on the Bay. Penguin chick under our deck was noisy but so exciting to see. Blowhole and beaches are stunning.

Bicheno was a great base to explore the area.

Bicheno was a great base to explore the area. We were sad we did not see any penguins. We had take away fish and chips at Tasmanian Coastal Seafoods which was beautifully cooked and delicious! We also had dinner at Le Coq and wow, was the most amazing piece of steak that melted in your mouth.

Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money, central location, within walking distance to most attractions. We ate at Food & Brew for lunch & the iconic Lobster Shack for dinner, with some afternoon beers at the newly opened Bicheno Beer Co cellar door. The blowhole is a short walk or easily accessible by a short car drive. Beautiful seaside town with lots to offer, definitely recommend staying a night or two.

The photos online didn't do this cabin justice! It was just breathtaking, the architecture, view, the feeling of being in the middle of nature but still so close to the water. The cabin felt so relaxed and warm like a home, but still had all the premium features of a luxury hotel. I would recommend this place in a heart beat to anyone. The kids named the Wallabies that came to visit.

The hotel is in a good location in Bicheno, close to the town centre and the beach. The best thing is that the hotel is composed of individual units with dedicated parking. The room was sparsely furnished but it had everything we needed for one night: good shower with hot water, good beds, big table to share a takeaway. Spartan but good.

This house was so beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. If I could, I would love to make it my own holiday home. Seriously, every amenity you could possibly think of was well-stocked, making our stay incredibly comfortable. Although Bicheno is a small town, the location is excellent, allowing us to walk to virtually everything.

We stayed in one of the older style bungalows. If you're out and about all day and just need a clean, comfortable bed for a cheap.price, this place works. The location is 10/10. The couple that manage Bicheno by the Bay are the best! Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area & beyond.

The personel was very friendly. The park is nice to enjoy a relaxing place. The location is also great to travel around the eastern coast of Tasmania and visit the Bay of Fires or Freycinet National Park.
