I stayed while visiting a friend I hadn't seen for 17-years. The reception lady was great and stored my bag before check-in time. I had a few beers in the main restaurant and the staff (Sally) was fantastic. A real pleasure speaking with her and the location and cost were great. Highly recommend if you are in Bendigo

Bendigo is an ideal weekend destination for a regional town stay, the city area is big enough to deliver enough convenience but small enough for there to be no issues with traffic or crowds. From breakfast to late night supper there are many very good venues open and available to choose from, and near the city centre most venues are only separated by a comfortable walk. We stuck to small boutique venues, the quality of food and service was excellent. not inexpensive but not over-priced either. We are not focussed on quantity over quality, we received good value for money.

Very clean, well laid out city a 3 our drive from our home so a perfect destination for a long weekend. We enjoyed the military museum, the Central Deborah Mine and the Church. Bendigo Pottery was a bit disappointing but I believe it is in line for an upgrade soon which is very much needed. We went there primarily for the swap meet but stayed a few extra days to look around and really enjoyed the history of the place.

Very nice town. Very nice architecture. Good food, at good prices. The town in drivable. The town is green and lush. I stayed for 2 half days, as a stop over going to the Victorian Alps. Was enough time.

I used Bendigo as a base.

I used Bendigo as a base. It has lovely parks, museums and places like the Great Stupa outside Bendigo. Other smaller towns like Castelmaine are close enough for a nice day trip. It has nice State forests close by. I really enjoyed the Chinese Dragon museum. It has a restaraunt now where you can gave a nice meal at a reasonable price. 9

Plenty to see and do in Bendigo.

Plenty to see and do in Bendigo. The vintage tram is a great way to get around the city, and takes you from one end to the other. The lake is great for a walk and food in the Whitby cafe is great. Art gallery is free and worth visiting. Gold mine looked ok but we didn’t have time to go down it. Nice town to walk around, friendly people. The Bridge was a relaxed place to eat, and listen to music.

Bendigo is architecturally gorgeous, with magnificent late 19th buildings. It is also remarkably pretty from the perspective of nature, and it is deeply historic. It is one of very few cities that are eminnently comfortable on Saturdays.

We were so fortunate to find Barnard Street Cottage when my father was in the ICU at the local hospital. We could walk to and fro and when we returned to the cottage we had a home with comfy beds and living areas. So much more personal than a hotel room. I was able to have my partner and my mother with me. Do not hesitate if you have a loved one at the hospital. And it’s a gorgeous place if you are exploring Bendigo. Fabulous location, with parking and everything you need in the home.

We stay in a lot of Motels around Australia & this motel would have to be the most comfortable place my family has stayed at. So much room in the apartment and very tidy, and beds where so comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and the large kitchen had everything you needed. Hotel next door has great meals and close to a lot of take away meals and the main street of Bendigo.

Good sized clean and modern rooms that are well appointed and the location so close to Lake Weroona was excellent. Easy free undercover and secure parking. Good facilities available. We enjoyed 3 nights in a high quality and spacious hotel room. The bed was large and comfortable. The large and stylish bathroom and separate toilet were very clean. It is close to Bendigo Pottery and only a little further to the centre of Bendigo.
